Looking for a few beta bodies

Unread post by Arcanimus »

I'm looking for a couple of people with beta to make an excursion into ToT on Monday, around 7 or 8pm Eastern.

If you can't guess, I want to check everyone's favorite turtle for tameability. I'll be on Mekkatorque. If someone else wants to snag the first tame I'd be down to make a bear and tank for the run.

I should be able to do that, are you looking at being horde or alliance (so I know what to make + set up beforehand)?

I hate to spoil it, but I've checked and Tortos can't be tamed :( You can queue for MoP LFRs (even solo) in the seat of knowledge. Wing 2 starts right at Tortos.

It's a real shame. But I'm not giving up hope for him. His design rivals that of Terrorpene for turtles, and he even has a unique death animation.

That model can always show up somewhere else. I love it to and hope it does become tameable.

Well crap. Looks like someone's gonna have to make a video of a solo on 10N once the tuning happens and post it to Holinka or LeCraft.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Tortos and Horridon become tamable one day. They are awesome models, and theres really no good reason to not be able to tame them, especially if someone is able to solo kill them. Of course, they could have some cool taming mechanics slapped on like Chimaeron, those are always fun.

Would be epic to get Oondasta and Thok, too. (But Thok.. Not sure how soon we'll be able to solo kill that guy.)

Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

I wouldn't be too certain yet; LFR has always been a different kind of beast than normal/heroic (Thok would be much more manageable to challenge tame in LFR than he would be in flex/normal/heroic because he automatically transitions at set percentages instead of just constantly aoeing until (at least in heroic) he hits 30 stacks and zerks out). I'm betting that Tortos isn't tameable in normal mode either, but I think it's still worth a shot.
