The Guild's Personal Play Zone (Feedback for June 4th event)
Yeah, I'm changing the title to personal Play Zone because it looked like everyone had a good time there.
--------------------------------
THE IDEA!!!
As you all know the DKs starting zone takes place in New Avalon which is located in the Eastern Plagueland. But this area in regular in-game play is called the Ruins of the Scarlet Enclave and reflects the destruction brought on by the DKs that left the place an abandoned ghost town. (sans ghosts.) I am proposing that since the Ruins of the Scarlet Enclave has no use for other players, I can find no quests attached to it or resources to gather there that we make it our own personal PvP zone.
Other benifits besides being deserted, there no beasts there that would take a bite out of any lowbies that would get ported in, yeah we'd have to port people in because the area is in the Eastern Plaguelands, there several buildings and a mine that could be put to use and though its attached to Tyr's Hand the Elites there don't even bother the area. (I think people may farm Tyr's Hand but since there's nothing to farm in the Ruins they just stay in Tyr's Hand.)
I already have two ideas that could be done that revolve around hide and seek but its up to you guys.

Re: The Guild's Personal PvP Zone
I suggested we try hide and seek there, with normal rules, except that everyone is flagged, and the alliance hunt you as you try to seek people. Of course, there're so many variations we could do of this. Discuss!Arwyn wrote:I already have two ideas that could be done that revolve around hide and seek but its up to you guys.
Other idea was to have a race held here, just a few laps through some areas. I haven't been there in actuality outside of the DK starting area for a couple months probably, but I know the basic landscape for the most part.
More ideas, discuss!

Re: The Guild's Personal PvP Zone
If it's flagged for PvP, here's a question: where's the nearest GY? the Plaguelands are pretty big, and it'd kinda suck if you have to run across the entire zone just to rez.

Re: The Guild's Personal PvP Zone
If we had designated rezzers we'd just need to make sure they were marked as 'off-limits.' If they rez pvp-flagged people I'm pretty sure they'd get flagged as well, so we'd have to avoid accidentally sniping them.
Sounds like fun, though.

Re: The Guild's Personal PvP Zone
Yeah I don't mind volunteering my services. Taigi would be happy to be a pvper, though I'm not very good at it. Or Silinrul would be happy to be an antagonizer Alli-side > )

I'll try to be there. It's my kid's birthday, so we might make it a late night...

Eh, we probably won't be having PvP there this time, due to short notice.Galadrael wrote:i can either rez or pwnface. just let me know.

Feedback:
The Good: Either we were being ignored and/or the entire Eastern Plaguelands was empty 'cause we got the Chat Channel to ourselves, if you go splat there's a spirit healer at Death's Breach.
The Bad: No monsters to chew on Lowbies..but the terrain could do either or about as much damage if they slip and fall off a cliff.

I loved this event! Having what felt like an entire zone all to ourselves was just so much fun. Really awesome idea, and even though the area was enormous it still worked well for hide and seek.
I bet we could think of more fun things to do in that zone for future guild events. Even RP would work well there with no distractions.

Sounds like a fun time. Wish I could have joined in but I was out of town and just got done with my drive back from Iowa. I imagine due to the responses I've seen though, that this will not be the last time for guildy goodness out there.
