What is up with the Spectral Hound?

I was in Admiral Taylor's Garrison, in Spires of Arak. I used Beast Lore on one of the Haunted Hounds (the one directly to the left after entering through the gate). A panel came up listing it as Spectral Hound with full data and saying it was exotic and Tamable. As I was closing the panel and dismissing my pet, it pated too close and attacked...no tame. I then tried to tame another. It said...Invalid Target. I couldn't get the Beat Lore panel to show for any of the others, and all others were Invalid Targets. Was the panel a glitch? Would that one glitched spawn have been tameable? Is there a percentage of the spawns that are this way, or was that a single glitch? And what is up with the panel having been created by Blizz in the first place? Any answers?

Are you sure it's called Spectral Hound? I'm not seeing that come up for any wolves on Petopia.

They're talking about the HAUNTED HOUND which are labeled undead. Which is a ghostly mastiff.

I see they are all undead are u sure they are able to beast lore ?

They're not even labeled as beasts so...of course they wouldn't be tameable. If you could, please provide a screenshot.
