Dual stables for dual spec?

Unread post by Pawtrack »

Well, seeing as dual spec allows you to have a new set of glyphs, and - of course - tallents, why not let dual specc'd hunters have dual stables?
IE, as BM you have a Devilsaur, Loque, Skoll, a Rhino and a Slithid.
Your off-spec is, say, MM. But instead of having to choose which pet to abandon and swap out for a non-exotic, you have a whole new set of stables, so you can tame a raiding pet.

Maybe you only have one or two stable slots, but it's still better than having to abandon one of your exotics.

So, yes, no, maybe? What do you all think? And how many extra stable slots should you have?

if I remember right we will be getting a huge stable and the ability to select a certain number of pets for our call stabled pet ability. If they were going to do something like you suggest it would effect the call stable pet not the stable itself.

That's an amazing idea! That would be better and nicer then like 10 or 15 slots. That would make things easier on the dual spec users

I dunno... before I got Skoll I used the same raptor in both my specs. Before that it was my trusty white lion. I wouldn't want any pet to be exclusive - even more so if you're dual specced MM/SV.

Yah, pretty much the same feelings here. Plus, if you want a rare, you'd have to tame it twice...

The ability to choose which pets stick in the Call Stabled Pet slots for each spec would be nice, but I wouldn't want pets to ONLY be available to one of my specs.

Granted, both of MY specs are BM at the moment. But my point stands!

I remember when we were all speculating about a '2nd stable' back at the beggining ot WoTLK, solely based on the fact that 'when you look at the stable menu, there's space for ANOTHER 5 slots above your existing ones!'. I figured it might become a dual-spec thing, but it never happened. =(

Amazing idea though, but I sometimes like using Xena, my warpstalker, when BM, just because she tanks better thanks to those 4 extra points, so to exclude her solely to MM would be a little sad.

Solution is more stables slots, period. xD

What is was thinking for the call stabled pet dual spec would involve self assigned pets (which if I remember right is what Blizz plans to do) I don't see it being exclusive either since you would have to switch specs to get the spec specific stable.

i.e.
BM = Devilsaur, Loque, Worm, Rake, Old Cliff jumper

MM = Old CLiff Jumper, Rake, bear, winderpent, ravager
