Cant tame anything

I just got into the alpha a week ago, I am a level 102 almost 103 BM hunter (did the instant char) and I keep getting an error when I go to tame things. They are lower level than me but it still is saying they are too high. Is this a glitch, or are things not tamable yet? I have even used the beast lore and it says they are tamable. ALL of them are the new area models, and it shows them as being 100 to 101 in level.

There's currently a bug with any of the NPCs that use that new level scaling system (they increase in level as you do, possibly up to a max). You can't tame them until you reach 110 (which I assume is their max. level). They're aware of the bug and hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

So that covers everything in the Broken Isles (at least I've not seen anything that doesn't scale). There's now a 110 PvP realm but the catch is that the Broken Isles are off-limits for that realm. So either way, we can't tame anything yet, which is why the tameables thread still only lists old world stuff :/

Yeah, it was an unforeseen side-effect of the new scaling code I guess. We'll get them soon enough.

Does Petopia have a Alpha guild yet? Just wondering and if so horde or alliance? LOVED rolling with you guys in the Panda beta finding the new tames and all <3

I'm not aware of any guilds yet. The population is reasonably small.

I can confirm that goblins can tame mechanicals (without using the special item) in the current build. I could tame a mech on a newly-created 110 goblin, but not tauren.
