Scarlet Plate/Mail Set In Pre-Patch Darkmoon Faire

So, while it's not an issue for me on my hunter, I wonder: have people found how to get the Scarlet outfits on PTR/Beta yet?

I noticed a new NPC in the place, a Scarlet Crusade Emmisary. She has no quests nor items for sale; she just gets all angry at my character (understandably!). I wandered around a bit, but couldn't find anything else. I haven't had the time to check anything else out, and by the time I *do* get the chance, Darkmoon Faire will potentially be gone (it promises to be a busy week).

I believe something has to be done in order for her not to be angry and sell the ensembles to you. That is what I've heard, anyway.

There is still a tabard available in the Scarlet Armory.

Using the ensemble simply adds all the pieces to your appearance tab. The screenshot is the cropped Tabard, it simply doesn't go below the belt.

Everyone, so long as you have a tabard, either the pre-Cata or Post-Cata version.

Awesome! Thanks for the report! Now if only they had a similar NPC for Blackened Defias Leather. I'm sure we could get a defias mask.

Does the tabard have to be the real thing? Or does transmogging help? I.E. will I have to get my plate-wearer an actual tabard, or can he just transmog and pretend?

I collected the Defias set before it went hella scarce, fortunately. 25k for a cropped tabard isn't worth it, but I'll deffo fork out for the complete mail set 'cause I never did manage to get the damned boots.

You CAN still get the Defias set out of Deadmines but the drop rate is abysmally low.

You can still get the tabard from Scarlet Armory. It is a low drop rate, but fairly easy to farm.

Blackened Defias Breastplate is straight up listed as 'Not available in game'. And no sign of it dropping at all. Same with Blackened Defias Belt (although as it's BoE, it is possible to find some on the AH now and again

you can switch the remaining items with others that have the same appearence, not just the exat item

That would be like saying that warriors can 'get the appearance' of Scarlet Mail without it having been turned plate.

Having pieces that look the same, but can't be transmogrofied, doesn't help with getting the transmog outfit.

I'm not entirely sure. It logs the appearance... I'd actually thought they'd changed it so you could mog grays if you had the appearance logged. (I have no real idea, I'm not in the beta/ptr)
