Patterned Stags Model Updated with Legion Patch

Noticed that after the patch hit my Patterned Stag had its model changed to the Greater Stag style. It still has the pattern but it's head is now held upright and the horns are slightly different and thicker. Went back to where I originally tamed east of Dawn's Blossom and all of the wild stags have had their models updated as well.

Also checked the white shrine elk and those models have been updated as well. Haven't gotten to the areas of the green-brown skin but I'm assuming it has also been switched.

Not sure I like the updated model though, the horn difference is what really caught my eye when I have my pet out. Not holding my breath but if anyone comes across any of the original pattern stag models can you let me know? I'm not super attached to my Stag yet but I preferred the old model.

Hello and welcome to Petopia! The stag changes were found in either alpha or beta (cant remember which) and are noted on THIS thread but thank you for point it out.

The head down stags will be available again upon Legion launch in Val'sharah & Suramar. So you'll be able to change your pet then.

Thanks Voya! I thought that was the case, in that the older ones didn't seem to "nod" as they stood any more, but I'd never compared them to be sure. In the end it seems that the Pandaren stag and the new Broken Isles one have become effectively the same model, but strangely I think they're still using separate model files. It's a bit strange

I think what I'll do is merge the two groups into the same model, but name the colours as, say, "green" (for the new one) and "patterned green" (for the Panda one).
