Beast Training Question

So, I went out and tamed a cat and tried to train it in Charge. I have Charge on my screen, it's green and listed with all the other trainable things... but wont apply. Can Cat's not learn Charge?

Cats cannot learn Charge, that is a Boar-only ability. If you look at each pet family on the Classic Petopia site, you'll see which abilities they are eligible to learn.

Cats, for example, can learn Bite, Claw, Dash, Cower, Prowl. Only the abilities listed in Active Abilities are ones you can teach to them from other pets. Passive Abilities (on the right) are available to all pet families.

Thanks for letting me know, I was actually confused about the listing but this helps explain it.

You can also browse by Pet Abilities and each one lists which pet families can learn it, and it will tell you which specific beasts you will have to go out to tame to learn the ranks from.
