I've always love Wow machinimas, and would love more then anything to learn how to make them!

Is there a certain program you have to use in order to make a machinima? or multiple programs?

either or, what are the names of these programs and are the free to download?

You would usually need WoW model viewer, or WoW if you're just gonna shoot in-game. You'll need to download Fraps. The free version only goes thirty seconds, but that's usually way more than you need. Then, you'll need a video editing system, such as Windows Movie Maker or iMovie. The really professional-looking machinimas are usually made in Sony Vegas, an expensive program. You should try just doing it with Movie Maker or iMovie, and if you like it, purchase Sony Vegas.
