Rainy Mood

Today I found out about http://www.rainymood.com/ ... It's a high quality 30 minute looping track of a summer rainstorm. You hit play and that's all it does, no toggles or configuration involved. If you like the sound of rain you might find it soothing and a good method of relaxation, or you might find it an effective means of drowning out other noise to focus or help you sleep. I've been listening to it for nearly half an hour while browsing the web and it just becomes a background noise that I no longer focus on but remains pleasant.

Neat find, I listen to a CD of rainstorms every night to help me sleep. I find it very soothing and relaxing, I cant sleep in complete silence

Aye, me neither.. There's heavy traffic here other than the dead of night so some manner of white noise helps a lot.

I usually don't have trouble falling asleep but I still enjoy the sound of rain pelting the windows, hence the reason I love rainy days. I had one just earlier today and even though I had to have my computer off to prevent it being blasted by any possible blackouts, it was fun to watch the rain fall in sheets outside my window and hearing the thunder. I'd rather listen to thunder than to hear the dumb car boomboxes blast away at any time of the day.

I love that site! Gala showed it to me a while back. ^^ I managed to get an mp3 of the 30 minute audio so I bring it upstairs and play it at night sometimes while I go to sleep.

I really love how crisp and clear the sound is, the quality is amazing. It's also really nice to just have playing in the background no matter what you're doing. I was questing in Stranglethorn once and it was raining there. Having rainymood play in the background really enhanced the whole thing, it was awesome.

That is very nice! I love thunderstorms and rain so it calms me. I don't like having on any lights or sounds when I go to sleep, though I may try listening to this if I feel like changing it up a bit.

There are so many lightening bugs zipping around at night outside that you can see them through my window so I leave it open at night and listen to the frogs, crickets, owls, and all of the other little creatures. They are my personal remedy for a sleepless night or one of my usual migrains.
