Araga!!!!

ok so i was looking at the cat familys and i notised from the pictures that araga and the mount lions from barrens have the same model but there shown as two diffrent skin types, so what is the diffrence? and if there was a diffrence but they changed it what was it?

Araga is a unique skin. At first glance it may look the same as a lioness, but they're quite different. Araga actually seems to be the male Lion texture placed onto a female lion body type. It's strange but certainly unique.

Araga used to have tailstripes, effectively making her appear to be a Liger rather than a Lioness. However, this effect was removed some years back and she's never really been the same since then.

Her tailstripes made me believe she was a Liger for a while... Until Blizzard removed them. =/ Never really understood why, but I barely see her anymore.

Apparently the "textural anomaly" that gave her tail stripes made it look like she had scales on the back of her neck, or so I've heard. We've only got a handful of pictures from Google and such to go by. >> I'd have gladly lived with the neck issue, a stripy tail would have made her look so much cooler! That said, I love how her face looks, so she's my favorite tiger-model cat skin.

Yeah, actually different than other lionesses, hehe.

I don't really care for the rings on the tail myself. Then again, the whole cat scene, meh.
