King Krush

Unread post by Royi »

sorry for asking a question that i'm sure has been answered in this forum already, but Royi doesnt like searching for things in-depth

What is the change for King Krush that will make him hard to tame? Noël will be looking for this guy soon enough so I was just curious what is changing come Cata to make him harder to get.

Thats all

Happy Day

The Beast Within no longer make's the hunter immune to CC effects, like Krush's fear. On top of this, at the moment in beta Blizzard has boosted the damage of everything from level 65 and up, including the already hits-like-an-angry-dump-truck Krush.

The Beast Within no longer makes the hunter immune to fear, so he will be pretty much impossible to tame without either outside help (paladin or priest) or very lucky resists.

Thats a thought - is fear a shadow spell? Would stacking shadow res work?

EDIT: Dang, beaten to it.

This is live (TBW not affecting fear)? Does TBW still block stuns/knockbacks?

Pretty much what's already been mentioned. You're no longer immune to fear with BW up. So you'll most likely need a priest, stack lots of haste, and maybe a shammy for hero so you get a 10 second tame.

Nope. No blocking at all.

Right, on beta TBW just increases your damage by 10% for the duration of BW. BW still blocks all CC and snare effects, but TBW just makes the hunter red and slightly mad.

Someone should actually say something to Blizz. It's a bit unfair to give us an already hard pet to tame that's a unique skin, rare, and subject to mass griefing....

Then make it even HARDER to tame, make it hit harder, kill our fear immunity, and make it so we NEED help. That really screws over quite a few hunters, and they should at least put in another skin somewhere. What about in Un'goro? Frost trappable green dinosaur named Prince Crush?

That's a shame; there's something about needing a group for a tame that I find a bit offputting - I've always thought of finding/taming a pet as forging an exclusive 1:1 connection between the two beings... with TBW that was still possible (for everything besides Gezzie anyway), even if TBW only made the difference between "impossible" and "murderously difficult", but without that option it seems like the only intended difficulty is propping toothpicks under your eyelids for 24/7 camping...

Glad I picked up The Beast when I did.

Remember, Northrend will be a ghost town after Cata hits. The mass griefing will be reduced to occasional griefing. :D

I solo tamed him on live a few weeks back. Just stack lots of haste and time the tame between fears.

People are talking about the BETA, not live. It's easier to do on live. Just read the earlier posts in the thread. :)

My point being there is no need for any fear immunity whether its live or beta.

I tamed Krush on beta too, it is a far easier tame with the hp boost at level 83.

Really? Does he still fear? Did he have the doubled damage yet? I'm assuming you're also a premade, and had best possible gear, gems, enchants on you at the time. If you're not a premade, then I'm assuming you grabbed the new Cata gear.....with huge amounts of stam and agi and whatnot.

I still think it's going to be a difficult tame. Yeah, doable. But difficult.

I have a priest, my husband plays one. I'm lucky in that respect. He could in theory help. But the trouble is, with Krush being a magnet for everyone in the area, if he wasn't logged out in Shola and ready to go in seconds, I could lose my chance. He's got a pally too, but he's on a different server.

If it's not something I can attempt solo, then I'll make my best effort to try it when my husband is available to help. Which makes my window even smaller. Laughing at this right now as I can see this going wrong so many times in so many ways. For example, I find the big green and hubby's showering or something.

I think I might just go for the Ironhide Devilsaur. Might be a bit easier and I like the skin better I think.
