I named mine Void, and so have come to think of him as "the Void Wolf."
Some background info, on the offchance you've been living on the moon:
The main thread about the Oil-Stained wolves, whose tame was originally figured out by Kyonarai, is here. They're a wolf found in Borean Tundra, and are generally tameable but end up exactly like other wolves. If, however, you tame them as they despawn after being fed via the Alliance quest Lupus Pupus, you can get one that will continue to look dark and oil-stained. Unless you select it, it has 0 features showing, looking simply like a void, hence my nickname for them ^^
To tame--get someone on the quest (which has several prerequisites and at least one previous quest in the chain) to feed the wolf. Trap it just before or just after the feeding, but be sure you're standing a decent distance away. Keep the same distance every attempt. Watch the freezing trap timer, and when there are 7 seconds left, begin the tame. The trap will soon break, the wolf will slowly lope up to you, stop for a few seconds, run away and then despawn. If you tamed a normal wolf, you will need to adjust your timing--the tame finished too soon. If it despawned before the tame completed, try Call Pet. Either a black oily wolf (set Aggressive) will appear at your side, or the tame didn't complete--you'll need to adjust your timing, the tame finished too late.
The method I used:
* You throw a freezing arrow/trap down a few paces in front of the wolf.
* You or your ally friend throw the meat to the wolf from about 7 yards or so.
* The meat-throw turns the wolf neutral, and it runs forward into the trap.
* Wait until ~6-7 seconds left on trap, and hit Tame. (Adjust the 7 seconds based on trial & error due to your haste rating)
* When the trap breaks, the wolf will continue running to the person who threw food, then stand still for several seconds before turning, running for 1 second or so and despawning. The goal is to have the tame end JUST as the pet despawns. Too soon and the pet will lose the buff; too late, and the tame will not finish. With 11.77% haste on this gear set, I timed my tame to begin with just under 6 secs left on the trap.
Anyway, on to the image spam! I took a bunch in Duskwood--at Forlorn Rowe (where you can find Morbent Fel's house)--one of my favorite places in WoW!

And the one in Org:
