How are YOU preparing for Cata?...

My list...

1) Pre-order from Amazon
2) Sell off ALL current mats that I won't use come Cata (or craft stuff from the mats and sell that stuff).
3) Vendor or delete all old gear I won't use.
4) Delete a few alts that I won't be playing and serve no crafting purpose.
5) Farm up some badges and honor for the badge/honor change coming with the 4.0 patch (on my hunter that can still use 251/264 gear)

What are YOU doing?

So far absolutely nothing. Saving money in my bank account for the CE probably but nothing in game. To me it's still to far away to worry about.

1. Collecting Bijous and Tome of Polymorph : Turtle from Zul'Gurub (got both mounts)
2. Farm heroics for badges (currently 238 triumph badges across my main and hunter alone)
3. Naked dance in Stormwind for gold

Farming ZG/strath for mounts, thats my top priority...and badge farming for the BoA's to have them ready for my new toons (haveing a healer make this very easy). Also set up name holder toons so that I don't have to worry about my chosen names not being available. Should probably sell off a bunch of stuff I won't be needing.

* Stressing a little about the focus system (As I'm not beta tester, to be frank, it scares me a little) but like a good princess, I'll suck it up.

* Still having my head swimming all over the place with the ability to have 25 pets, omg still can't believe it

* Farming "champions writs" from the tournament dailies for an instant exhalted with my current race when I change over to a goblin. That way I can get all my mounts back straight away (p.s. you need about 170 of them to go from 0- exhalted)

* Farming all the other things in wow that require you to be really really bored .. white hawkstrider, Anzu, Time Lost Proto, Time Lost Figurine, Blood Elf Mask, ZG Mounts, Random Reps, etc .... Oh and yeah, Deathcharger I'm looking at you buddy!!!

* And generally spending way too much time on these forums pushing the refresh button

So far, I have farmed up the following heirloom items for -my soon to be- new main goblin hunter
2 Balanced Heartseekers (w/ +15 agility)
Bloodied Arcanite Reaper (w/ +25 agility) -because it is still The weapon.
Upgraded Dwarven Hand Cannon (because a bow just doesn't fit)
Champion Herod's Shoulder
Champion Deathdealer Breastplate (w/ +4 to stats)
Dread Pirate Ring

I have so far stockpiled 27 or so pets, gnomish army knife, ornate spyglass, and some other doodads that will fit a goblin hunter well.
(I have already decided that he will have engineering and mining as his professions)

I HAD been leveling up my druid because I wanted to race-change him to a troll, but I stopped (was worn out of questing) and am not sure if I want to put in the work to get him up those last few levels (he is level 76.)

I had been running ZG and Strat for the mounts, but had no luck in oh, 50+ runs of ZG and 100+ runs of Strat, so I gave that up.

As for stockpiling emblems and such, I have a hard time doing that stuff unless I have a goal in mind that I am working for.
I was working on BG reputation, but that got old too.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Oh, I plan on going out and grabbing a few pets when 4.0 comes around, as well as playing around with the new focus resource and getting a hang of it.

I am not going to pre-order the game, I have always regretted pre-ordering stuff when I am not getting the "special addition" as it comes later than I could get it at the store (like Walmart.)

4. Save up 5,000+ G for any mount expenses.
5. Get 310 Drake for free 310-Flying in Cataclysm.

Running around on my Shaman doing achievements to try and get caught up to my Hunter, so when I switch my Shaman to my main I'll have a reasonable number of them done.

On my Hunter I'm just tying up some loose ends, trying to get his gear balanced out just because I'm a bit OCD about that sort of thing. He's got the full 4pc Sanctified T10 so that's done, but I'd like to upgrade a couple more pieces just so he's not a work in progress.

I haven't ordered yet, but I plan to...same for the online viewing for blizzcon for the free pet.

Game wise, one character already has 310 I am not minding not getting 310 come Cata, if I get extra coin for it so be it...gonna' try & get more mats for Cata like ore, elementals etc. to sell. Going to do my dailies & sit on them so when it's up & going I've got some quests to turn in.

Come 4.0 gonna grab me a Reptar for my 2nd hunter, & a few other miscellaneous pets between both hunters like Giggler, Scabs, some more Silithids, & that's about it.

Cleaned and tidied up my guild website, and cleaned up my guild bank in preparation for a new massive recruitment drive which I'm hoping to start sometime this week. It will be the fifth time I've had to rebuild my guild, but it such is life.

The only thing left on my list is to get Sara Loremaster and the Diplomat. I'd like the winterspring saber too, but honestly I'd imagine they might make it easier to get to match the Horde one... Either way, I'll get it eventually.

I'd also like to test out the focus system on the ptr, but I can't afford downloading so much, so I'm probably just going to read a lot about it.

1. Sucking up all of the Hunter pre-Cataclysm, especially on pets, information that comes out!
2. I'm "looking forward" to waiting, at Midnight, outside my local mall's Game Stop.
3. Go on a Mining spree just for Saronite. Make Saronite Bars outta 'em then vendor 'em.
4. Definitely try out/play World of Warcraft when 4.0 comes out. lol Try to get myself into raids, to test out the pets.
5. Go on a big Taming spree, before Cataclysm.

- farm the Zulian Tiger for myself and Razzashi Raptor and Rivendare's Deathcharger for Siliner

- level my Priest to 78, leave all other alts as they are now

I've got myself well prepared on my main, but I have at least itemized a checklist of things I have yet to do:
- Group for OS 25 3D to get the Twilight Drake
- Queue for randoms in the hopes of going to Oculus for the Blue Drake
- Whine and fuss
- Farm red qiraji bug mount in AQ40
- Try to decide which pets I need to run off and tame "liek nao" when 4.0 hits
- Farm 30 more Emblems for my trinket

I've already gotten a hold of a number of rares (Azzere, OCJ, Rak'shiri) and have gotten everything that I want out of Engineering at present, including Jeeves. My AT pets/mounts/reps are done including the pony for my squire. All of my Northrend reps are at Exalted (with the exclusion of Ashen Verdict because raid progression on my server is not great) and I've got my black drake ready to survey his damage atone for the misdeeds of his Flight.

Moreover, I've got 40 Timelost Scrolls so that if necessary I can summon Gezzarak 4 times. I missed out once, and that is the FIRST thing I am doing once Cataclysm arrives!

Whaat, seriously? That's insane! I've hardly gotten myself to get one of the 100 seal mounts, in addition to all the ones that cost 5 seals and a lot of gold. <.<

I still need to pre-order Cata.
Besides that, my goal was to experience the old world fully from 1 to 60 before everything changes, and since my alliance hunter is now level 70 that has been accomplished.
I was going to get her all the way to 80 so she could continue on with the new high level content, but it keeps bugging me that I've never had a Horde character beyond level 20. So despite the fact that I don't like some of the Horde lore and races, the mentality of the players on that side on my server and some of the storylines/quests there, I've rolled a little female orc hunter on that side to see as much of their side of the story as I still can.
My plan is to try and avoid undead and bloodelf quests as much as I can and concentrate on taurens and orcs (I love both races lorewise, culture-wise and looks-wise) and I'll see how far I'll get before cata comes out.

Once Cata comes out I'll probably split my time between exploring low level content with a new human hunter (possibly worgen, not sure yet) and levelling my main nightelf hunter up through WotLK and then Cata.
