New bear in Hillsbrad not tame-able?

I decided to go on a taming spree tonight to test out some of the pets and see if I really liked any of the newer ones. I wanted to tame one of the new Infested Bear from Hillsbrad because when I first saw a screen shot of it, it made me laugh.

So I make my way down to where their at, put my new fox away and try to tame and ended up getting "Cannot be tamed". After a few minutes I realized that the eggs on its butt can be killed so I went about killing em by frost trapping the bear then using wing clip on the eggs. After a few unsuccessful attempts I finally got the eggs off, disengaged back, tried the tame and failed again. So now I come here. Are these bears bugged or is there a quest I need to get to make them tame-able?

Dont quote me on this but I thought at one time they were tamable but would lose the egg cluster upon tame completion. Can someone confirm or deny these thoughts???

However these guys are listed as tameable in Petopia, proving that they were tameable at some point.

Thanks, Gold! That's proof that they WERE tameable, though the thread remains lost. I know we discussed it here, though, cause I've seen those pics before. :/

They're also apparently the only mob that uses bearskinbluediseased. So we gained then lost a skin :/.

Oddly Petopia has been refusing my connections all day for some reason but I can reach it fine from my phone. Phone fails if I set it to use my home wireless too. Hrm :/

hmm ok, sadly the only reason why I wanted this one was because of the eggs on its butt I'll head back over to felwood tomorrow and get a bear from there.

Mercifully, for the bear and for the rest of us that have to see it, the eggs aren't part of the model and go away. I do hope they make this tameable again, if only for the unique BearSkinBlueDiseased (minus eggs). I left a suggestion that they be made tameable once you shoot all the eggs off. Perhaps others who go past could do something similar and maybe they'll notice

Yes they were tamable when first added, but not any more - but in any event lost the eggs (fortunately).

I personally don't care for the diseased skins but it's a real shame this skin, or lack there of **snerk**, is no longer tamable.

Every time I see that bear I almost lose my lunch, I'm glad people won't be running around with an egg-butt bear. But I am sad that we lost a skin.
