I have almost tammed every pet now that I wanted to have.
One of the missing pets is king krush.Today I started to camp for him.
I want to know from the ppl that already tamed him how they did it.
What macro's,gear,... did you use?

find a priest with fear ward? he's a toughie, with only a 10 second tame its going to be a luck factor too since you can use Beastial wrath now

At 10 seconds though I've heard the tame is no longer epic and quite easy to do solo.

Have you been camping just one spot, or circling the basin? Because if it's the former, then it obviously isn't working out for you and suggest you start circling. If it is the latter you're doing, I suggest getting a friend to help since I know how tricky and unlucky camping can be.

Then those people saying that are silly. To be able to tame an extremely rare, rare spawn at all? That is pretty Bleepin epic. And he can still fear. It took me 4 tries even with a pet tame of 7ish seconds. He feared either 1 second into tame or 1 second from completion.

Oh.

He also hits like a truck while in a truck that is driving to pick up a third truck to complete the Truckpocalypse.. thanks to the changes. Meaning if tame beast wasn't a 10 sec tame to begin with, the King might be Untameable untill Cata.

So yeah. Whomever was complaining doesn't know jack diddly.

This is a strategy I would suggest:

1- Grab yourself a disposable Core Hound. Ancient Hysteria is the single greatest thing Blizz has given us hunters. It will cut your taming time down by 30%.
2- When he spawns, let your core hound agro him, then put it on passive. Go into melee distance yourself. I noticed that Krush will do a charge to ranged enemies that will punt you back, potentually interupting your tame.
3- Once he does his first fear, pop Ancient Hysteria, dismiss your pet (or abandon) and tame. Ancient Hysteria lasts a while, so don't worry too much about it running out before you have a chance to attempt to tame. The big issue here is starting the tame before his fear has a chance to recharge, so I'd suggest abandoning the corehound over dismissing it.

As for macros, well, the one I would use is this:

Assuming you're going to be abandoning your corehound, this'll use ancient hysteria and abandon it right away, as well as use your trinkets and pop a haste pot. When I tested it, I hat to mash it twice to egt the tame beast part of it to work. Really you could take the tame beast part out and just hit the spell after using this, but I found it more convenient/easier to just mash the same button twice.

Well its finding him thats the problem. But like before its mostly luck. Yes he does hurt but I tamed him twice on the PTR. Took me three attempts the first time, didnt even have to FD at all. (Sas had 28k health though) Second time I had to FD because I got too low but again took 3 attempts. Each time it was 1 sec before tame complete.. the jerk but its better then 4 secs, or 5 secs.. A FW would be nice but its not something you have to wait for a priest like it was before. Your best pet is to send a trash pet in, let him fear him, quickly abandon pet, and hit tame. I got my tame down to 7 secs with just haste gear and if KK fears every 10 secs you should be fine. The main thing is when you see him DO NOT PANIC that was the main problem I always had whenever I tamed him. Im miss something vital and end up getting killed. It sucked

But no hes not as hard as he was before. Now you can solo tame him, though before I know some people have like I said its just luck if you dont get feared. Just make sure to try and tame him at a clear part.. I tamed him with wasps hitting me on Saon. I was lucky to a have a priest guildie lol.

But to be safe if theres a priest whisper him and see if he will FW and shield you.

well now that taming is like... 5 secs all you really need is the dismiss pet macro and wait till be fears before you do that then tame...

Coming out of lurkerdom to contribute. I just tamed King Krush about 30 minutes ago after hours of non-stop camping (joy!), and I don't think you really need any special gear. He does hit hard, but not so hard that I worried about dying before the tame went off. All I did was pop a potion of speed that I'd been keeping around since I first hit 80 for this very purpose and hit tame beast. Just like that, he was mine. Still, I advise letting him fear a trash pet before you tame to be on the safe side since I suspect luck was a pretty big factor. The hard part now is finding him. Competition is incredibly fierce thanks to the upgraded stables. He's a gorgeous pet, though, and completely worth the trouble. Good luck!

I sit in a camp spot for a while then I fly. Come back, sit for a bit then fly. Issue is I have a slow mount since I don't have artisan flying. So the total loop is almost 4 mins long. I only know that from timing it. A lot can happen in four minutes so I don't circle as often compared to someone on a faster flying mount.

My tame time with the little haste gear I have is 7 seconds. I haven't even tested it with my trinket, food, pots and elixirs yet. I have trash pet at the ready and supposedly our armor no longer goes down to zero upon taming anymore. So it's still not going to be the epic tame it was prior to the 4.0 patches. It won't be easy, but not the edge of your seat - nail biting - praying - fear warding - holding onto all hope experience it could have been prior to the 4.0 patches.

Well ........................ really I hope to find out soon. I'll report back if I get lucky enough to get him before someone else does. I've been camping three weeks. How much longer could it possibly take?? lmao

Been in Sholozar for about two days. I have 5 potions of speed, a corehound, and a macro that I am not afraid to use.

I went AFK yesterday at about 6pm server time and KK popped about 30min later at a spawn point I wasn't at... I found out a L.80 rogue killed him.

I have already decided to dedicate myself to tame him before I do anything else... and the last time I did that I left the Basin about 6-7 weeks later with about 3500 Saronite Ores and Aotona.

If you wanna get King krush Super easy Reforge every gear you got into haste for taming then put back to normal later whatever setting you had it on

I got hyperspeed accelerators on my hands,that you get from engineering, but do someone know how to use it in a macro?

I deciced to camp 1 place where he spawns.East in Sholazar basin close to a group of 6 grey gorillas.I am using npcscan so I get warned when he spawns.Meanwhile I can do something else at home.

Yesterday I found him but he was already killed....what a nightmare.

I hope I dont panic when he spawns.

edit:i found out how to use my hyperspeed accelerators in macro but my pet dont want abondon when i use macro.

Fun facts about Krush that few people know:

Despite the fact he can't be slowed, snared, or any of that, last time I checked, the pally's hammer stun...Stuns him. I'd have to go into the wild and see him again to see if druid stun works, for example.

But yes, if you can, GET A PALLY. They have awesome buffs, and better yet, stun!

As far as I know none of the Sholazar rares share a spawn timer. One has been up at the same time as another, etc. Good hunting.

I just tamed him today, YAYAYA. I did not do anything special. Started tame, he feared me, when fear was over I restarted tame and BAM. Now I had noticed that my tame speed seems faster than before 4.0.1. I tested it and it is only 8 sec. They must have changed the speed from 20 to 10 with the patch.

Also, you don't put anything between the parentheses for the /script PetAbandon (). Just leave the parentheses empty.

I have changed the macro like the ppl posted above.
Only I have bestial wrath in the macro to now.Otherwise the pet got abondon but dont use Ancients hysterie because of the fear.(have tested on uvuros)

Beastial Wrath doesn't give you fear ward anymore... not sure if it gives the pet it though... I don't remember.

Ancient Hysteria is for a 30% haste increase to everything. (Meaning if you have no haste and pop Tame Beast your taming will last 7sec.)

You have to use the macro after Krush fears either you or your pet and the fear has worn off, and try to be in melee range when you pop the macro so he doesn't knock you back.

My haste is 12.47% without any buffs. It is 27.72% after I drink a potion of speed. So add 30% from Ancient Hysteria to that and I should have a Tame Beast speed of about 4.3sec. (if I did the calculations correctly).

Now I just need to find the bugger.
