Move To actually not bad

The movement of Move To is a little clunky, but I have noticed some upsides to it.

Your pets can run around apparently unattended, unlike Eyes of the Beast, which gave off more of a "pay no attention to the hunter behind the curtain" feel. It's much more spontaneous and there's no "tell" that the pet is going to move before it does.

Also, other pet classes can use it as well, so your pets can play with ghouls, demons, and elementals, which is pretty neat. Having an imp flee over your head is pretty hilarious.

It's not the same thing as EotB, but at least it still has its fun uses.

Has anyone gotten MoveTo to work while the pet is tanking?
So far my pets seem to ignore MoveTo, all I can do is pull them back with Follow. :-/

or when a pet is being AoE'd, I've tried move-tooing my pet out of danger but it ignored it completely until I put em on passive and then shuttle them off.

Then the fact that Stay is effectively gone does not help, when I want a pet I have to 'hit passive, hit move to, pick a spot', before I could just hit passive/stay and leapt off, leaving the pet behind.

I was actually able to role play this quite well actually- even going so far as to give my own personal flare/twist in a story I've been dabbling in. Basically my interpitation was you threw your subconciousness to your beast. And depending on the bond it was either willingly or you bending the beast to your will.

\That and I liked being able to unstick my pets without mounting up/dismissing, and I liked to take shortcuts which Move To won't allow.

Actually Ry, Stay is still there. Just go into your pets spellbook and you'll find it right next to Move To.

Whenever I do, Stay becomes Move To- it effectively is 'gone' for me :/

Then that's a bug with the actionbars for hunters, my Water Elemental works just fine. Except when he forgets Move To and just runs back to where he was when I used it. -.-

Or it's a me specific bug- I have several of them. All my flying mounts atm are part jesus, they can land on water.

You can do it, but it's a little more complicated. You put your pet on passive first, then use the move to command.

Yes, anytime they get hit they will stop running.

I also have issues with Stay turning into Move To on my pet action bar.

The mounts walking on water is applicable to everyone though. It may be part of the new ability to get on your flying mount when swimming at the surface of water.
