Demon Hounds are tameable!

Demon Hounds (also known as Darkhounds, Blighthounds, Plaguehounds, and Magehunters) are newly tameable in the latest Cataclysm Beta patch. They are in the Dog family, and previously tameable models (the Vargul Blighthounds specifically) have also been moved to the Dog family.

Blue

• Darkhounds from Tirisfal Glades

Grey

• Deathshadow Hound from Nagrand
• Shadowbeast from Karazhan [retains transparency after taming]

Purple

• Bayne from Tirisfal Glades [rare spawn]
• Dreadbeast from Karazhan

Red

• Bloodhounds from Blackrock Depths
• Rokad the Ravager from Karazhan

White

• Phase Hound from Karazhan [retains transparency after taming]
*Note: No regular (non-ghost) ones found tameable yet*

Blue Magehunter

• Azure Mage Slayers from the Violet Hold
• Beryl Hounds from the Borean Tundra
• Coldarra Mage Slayers from Borean Tundra
• Moonrest Stalkers from Dragonblight

Green Magehunter

• Trained Plaguehounds from Howling Fjord [Alliance Only]
• Plaguehounds from Eastern Plaguelands [Not tameable yet, but changed to beasts and have diets]

Red Magehunter

• Vargul Blighthounds from Zul'Drak

Just went to check on that, yes the Vargul Blighthounds are now in the Dog family, not Wolf.

Well, I had always sort of played that my Cinders had a personality that was a cross between a Malinois and an AmStaff, so I guess it'll suit for him to be a dog come Cataclysm.

Interesting to see them moved to the dog family. Not that I disagree with the move, I much prefer these badass mana hounds over the mastiffs. Fleshes out the family well I think.

Gah, I can't stress how pretty these things are! I have to say my blue hound definitely tops Skoll in terms of awesome blueness.

Yes! I Wanted a "Dog" but I'm not really a huge fan of the Mastiff Models (Though My black and White boxer is a very similar look IRL). This means I'll keep my Vargul BH, and still get a dog! =D
