So, in little over a week, Cataclysm will be released in stores and throngs of people will be flocking to make themselves Worgen and Goblin characters. Myself among them. And while my Worgen have already got names picked out, I find myself at a little bit of a loss as to what to name my future male Goblin Hunter.
Anyone who's played with me on the Nessingwary servers knows of my two main characters there; Moonlost the Troll druid and Sunlost the Tauren Paladin. I also have Gutterlost the Undead hunter, who has yet to be invited into the guild. (Nor will she for probably some time. She's there mostly to level with my brother's character there. And since he currently doesn't have a working computer, it could take me a while before I get arround to getting her in.)
As you probably noticed, I have a little bit of a naming theme going on.
I think it's cute in a way, and it produces some awesome names. Also, it allows other guildies to quickly distinguish who I am by my character name. (Moooooooooooooon)
So when it comes to my future goblin, although it's like to keep with the name *Noun*lost, I'm finding it hard to think of something suitable yet cool sounding. I'm hoping that the awesome people on the forums could help me out a little.
Even though I'm not on an RP server, I always think of personalities and backstories for my character. My goblin is no exception. Hopefully this can help you help me decide upon a name for him.
I envision him as being a street-rat turned urban ranger. He's been living off the discarded remains of Kezan all his life, acting as a cheap errand boy for the criminal underlords of the city during his youth and a hired gun during his adulthood. A strange affinity for animals, a sharp mind for tinkering and a keen eye with a gun kept him alive though these years. Soon he found himself master of his urban jungle... Right up until Deathwing caused the volcano to eurupt.
Deep underneath all the muck that has acumulated over him all his live, he's a good-hearted guy. He doesn't hurt innocents (as rare as they were in Kezan), he tries to look out for the underdog and he's always kind to animals. He views his mercenary lifestyle as a neccissary evil to keep himself fed and safe.
His future name isn't his real one so much as it is an alias, something he gives to employers and strangers. His life has taught him that trust, and subsequently his real name, is not something to be freely given out.
So yeah. I'm stumped on him surprisingly. I was toying with "Urbanlost" for a while, but it doesn't quite have the right feel to it.
Although I'd like to keep with the *Noun*lost names, I'm more than happy to use something that really strikes me as suitable or just plain awesome. Please help me Petopia!
