Signature question/problem

I made my first signature pic, and I don't think I did all that badly considering that all I really have to work with is various MS programs that came with my computer. The first siggy I came up with I think was too big, so I made another, smaller version that I think protrayed the same idea -- my four Hunters with their favourite pets, and a quote from "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" that sums up my philosophy on pets and being a Hunter.

My question is, whenever I'm not logged in, my signature pic just shows up as a blank box that says "image X". It shows up just fine when I am logged in, however.

I've never had a signature picture before, so is this normal? If not, what can I do to fix it?

Try to reupload it in this thread, and edit your link to the new version.

Before, I just made a temporary "preview" post, in order to get the picture link. Maybe that's what's screwing up?
