Strange login error

I just got this message upon trying to log in:
You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to enter the confirm code from the image you see below.
I only tried to log in once and as soon as I hit "Login" that popped up. So I'm not sure if it's a glitch or ...................... what.
Just wanted to put the FYI out there that it happened on my first time logging in this morning. No biggie really though.

Yup. Acherontia had the same issue and made a thread, and I've had it as well. Posted Dec. 29 by me:

I had the same issue last night at about 12:30 in the morning, my time. My internet died, so I rebooted it, logged in and tried to go for it. It gave me the captcha, and when I logged in my info, same error. So I refreshed and tried again and managed to log in. No issue with that this morning.

Edit: Just happened again.
