King Krush - Happy Ending! :D

Hi Guys!

So my lil sister is looking for King Krush on her lvl 75 hunter. We spent 7 hours in the basin yesterday - tamed Aotona the birdie, then loque spawned 1 hour later and was gifted to guildie. The basin is virtually dead except for us 3 hunters doing laps and we've seen nothing of the green beastie.

Are the spawn timers really connected?
Some achievement websites lists Krush's spawn timer at 3 - 6 hours and states the hardest thing is the kill (i know it probably was back in wrath) but surely more people would have him as a pet if it was? Theres only 3 Krush's on our server (my boy, another boy and a girl Krush )

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well I will tell you.....those websites are so dead wrong. His spawn timer, at bare minimum, is 6 hours. Typically, I've seen him range from 10 - 20 hours.

As for connected? No. The only ones connected is TLPD and Vyragosa in storm peaks.

Wow 10 -20 hours? O.o I stubbled across him waiting for elemental rifts to spawn for that pre cata event :< Well my sister aggroed him on her lvl 74 pala lol Thank you for the info - looks like alot of laps in the Basin for us : )

I have loads of karma stocked up - given away: Ghostcrawler x 2, Terrorprene x 2, Sambas x 1, Skoll x 2 and Madexx x 1 all this last week : ) Hopefully this will help me find Krush -my sister is going out of her mind xD She never did do stoopidly long camps like my 17 hours straight for Jadefang and Acrturis : /

I did 26 hours one time for Arcturis and 3 days for Loque. So trust me, I know the feelin. As for Krush, I found him after about a day and a half. Where I found him most was either his most northern spawn point by the rhinos or down patting by the southern gorillas.

Ah ty! Yeah I've spent alot of my life looking for rares My shortest 'camp' was 7 hours for Sambas - my longest was 6 days for Skoll (everytime he spawned an ally mage would swoop and kill just as I was taming - she was doing rounds for the TLPD - this ended when an orc DK had seen me struggling all week and launched into her with PVP on as she aoe'd Skoll lol - again random kindness!).

Longest camp was Gondria, which took about 4 or 5 days. Loque was second longest, which took 3 days(Twice an alliance person killed him from under me...one was an MM hunter and the other was a shaman).

That's crappy. When I was camping Loque, which took me 10 days, I cheered the horde hunters that tamed him.

Well I dunno if this is accurate but it always worked for me. Try logging or circling on peaks on the hour or half, like lets say 5:00 and 5:30

It saves alot of time, and this has been the case for me for several mobs, including:

Arcturis: 17:04
Loque: 21:32
King Krush: 12:35

and many others.

They seem to spawn 2-5 mins prior or post a peak, so it saves alot of time if you let's say login 5 mins before, do a circle for 10 mins, then logout and go do something else. It seems to be the case of mostly all my camped tames. Camped meaning I waited for them to spawn, not stumbling upon them.

She is leveling right???
Krush is level 76 so if she finds him now at 75 all she'll be able to do is kill him.

Timers vary server to server and most of the time I've seen them has been between 1 - 3 am server time. But I've also seen him spawn at random times so it's hard to guess. Ask in general chat when he was last seen /killed /tamed and see if you get someone who's willing to be honest.

At lvl 75 King Krush will hurt.. alot, so make sure she has a healer. His spawn timer is pretty long, I think the usual 6-14 hours.

5 mins for Loque, thought to myself well might as well check and see if I like him if hes there and he was!

2 months for King Krush. Saw him 5 times but couldnt get a sucessful tame off because of the fear and people grabbing him and killing him.

Oh and Zed, Krush is lvl 75 not lvl 76.

all spawn timers in northrend are connected in that there can only be 3 at once. i have done nothing but hunt rares for a month straight, and mostly in northrend, and i can tell you for sure that as long as there are 3 already up somewhere, krush will have no chance to spawn even if he was last killed 36 hours ago. try leaving your hunter there and taking alts around to the other zones to kill whatever is up, and see what happens! after you kill one it is about 15-20 minutes before another one will spawn somewhere. happy hunting!

unless they had 5 players all actively searching, they did not see 5 at once. what they probably did was kill one, then by the time they saw #4 15 mins had passed so another one had popped. by the time they saw #5, 15 mins had passed since they killed #2 and another one had popped. etc.

trust me, i have been spending 5+ hours a night for a month chasing rares (in a mostly player deserted northrend), sometimes with a group to divide and conquer the zones. only 3 at once! the only time you will see less than 3 is if everything has been killed today, and they are all on cooldown (usually in the wee hours of the morning, or earlier if a lot of players have been leveling through those zones that day and killing them when they come across them)

I have never heard of them not sharing a spawn or TLPD has had it spawn time reduced. I have been camping the TLPD for weeks and I highly doubt that the TLPD and his spawn patterns have been changed, as myself and several others would have noticed it I'm sure. If it has indeed been changed, please post a reliable source instead of saying others are posting false info (which was never false to begin with).

Anyways, good luck on getting Krush! I looked for him on and off on my hunter; managed to find 3 or 4 Loques, and 2 Aotonas in the time it took me to first spy him in the wild! When I found him it was one of those 'hm, I got a feeling.. let's fly there' moments and he was actually up! I made many attempts to tame (this was back with 20s tame time) with BL and everything and it was not enough; he ended up being stolen and killed under me by the opposite faction.

Two days later I had another feeling and flew there and he was up again. I tried my best to get a shaman to help me with BL and the Basin was quite full but no one would help me. I didn't think I would make it but I thought 'what the hell lets try until someone kills him'. I managed to solo tame him in one shot!

Just remember to stay positive! It sounds like you've built up a lot of good karma so I'm hoping Mr. Greenbutt will show up for you guys soon.

Sad news too - a pala /w me and said he found him dead yesterday (he even said he was mad as he wanted the 1kg reward I'm now offering!).

Been a week now - my sister is almost lvl 77 just by farming mobs - she's fallen in love with a Shango she picked up too lol

Back to the hunt!

I practically tripped over King Krush while searching for Loque. Tamed him on the second attempt (the fear screwed up the first attempt), had lots of health left and didn't use anything to help.

A tip: have another hunter get his attention and eat the fear, then Feign Death. Your sister can then go in and tame him easily, since the fear CD is greater than ten seconds.
