Teevo's tames and stories (Updated 7/29)

Began camping today at 5:30pm. Almost no one came around the majority of the night, I was rather surprised. A Troll Shaman jumped on up around 9pm, saw me, bowed and then wished me luck. I saluted him and was shocked and grateful for his display of respect.

At 10:30pm or so, a Goblin Warlock came by. Obviously I was there before him, so after about 5-10min he left. Oh... but he came back. And brought a Goblin DK with him this time. At about 10:50pm they began casting Rain of Fire and whatever the DK ground AE is called. So I began laying traps and I setup a macro that contained: /target Jadefang - /cast Scatter Shot

The warlock just kept casting, but the DK was acting arrogant. You could tell he was out to get under my skin and do whatever he could to make me leave. It started out by walking and jumping around me, then he started to pull over the deep spider spawns which triggered my macro even though they weren't Jadefang, so then I had to take the 8sec or so to kill them. Eventually I got smart and laid down 3 traps, and gave up on my macro, and just waited for the spiders to respawn so I could kill them before they got to me or my traps. Well the DK didn't like that.. so he ran over to where they were spawning closer to the edge of the cave, and when one spawned he flagged pvp and I hit him instead of the spider. He and the warlock killed me.

I ran back and returned to the cave. I waited for my pvp flag to go away. It finally did, so I mounted up and was making my way around..

NpcScan goes off. Jadefang spawns. Jadefang dies. I make the bomb jump over to the corpse. The DK bows to me.

5hrs 40min for nothing. Thanks horde.

Awww.....people are such douches.....you can report them for griefing. Blizzard's been cracking down on it lately.

Oh man, that's terrible. I'm still shocked by the lengths people go to to be rude to people in this game; it's awful sometimes.

I wish you the best of luck for a swift respawn and no more jerkish hordes :/

For the record - not all Horde are like that, and not all Alliance are innocent of such acts, either.

Don't blame the faction- blame the players behind the keyboard.

Unfortunately this seems to be a common trend. Though not as bad as what you described, I'm sorry for that it sounded awful but... Two days ago I was seeking Jadefang, and he spawns. I was like omg! omg! yes... only for a Horde DK and druid to come not even two seconds later, pop all their CDs and instantly kill Jadefang right in front of me. They laughed at me, I just sigh and log off and goto sleep. I haven't seen Jade spawn yet and I've been sitting here for so long now.

You'll get him, log yourself off there, then check randomly in the middle of the night. Squee is my all-time favorite pet (as some may know) and he's definately worth it.

I'm sorry those horde were jerks to you, a lot of ally are the same way unfortunately. I've played 4 years of alliance only and 2 years of horde only and I can confirm that there are mean jerky type people on both sides

At least Squee is only in one spot, and you can easily park yourself up there, leave your speakers on and NPCSCAN running, and go do something else in your house until you hear the drums

Well it's been 5 hours so far since I woke up, and there was only a small 4 hour window I was logged for sleep (Insomnia for the.... win? I'm not sure. Anyways...) he could have easily spawned during that point so I guess if he did I'd wager it to be about 7 hours or so. I'm not sure if he follows the same spawn timers as the other rares, some of them took quite a long time upwards of 23 hour mark so oh my I hope it's before then haha, have had far too many 23 hour re-spawns.

For the record, I was not calling out the faction. I was only telling my story, which so happened to include two players of the opposing faction. Believe me, I am well aware that there are jerks on both sides of this game.

People may mock me for this, but I didn't sleep well last night because of that incident. Bugs the crap out of me that they only spent a fraction of the time I did (for this specific day) and got the spoils. I know people put in far more time and sit at their computer for rare things (ex - Time Lost Drake).. days, even weeks.. but I am unfortunately only able to put in a maximum of about 6-8hrs a day of camping due to work and simply living on my own. And to have it go down like it did, is just wrong.

hopefully it will make you feel better. i would have been extremely upset too. heck i remember being super upset that i was slow off the draw when trying to nab Arcturis once (another hunter hit tame first)

All day at work I contemplated if I even wanted to bother camping him again just yet. Thought maybe I'll just take a day off to relax and try to let go of the past. Well, I was a bit more relaxed after reading some of the replies to my thread here, so I logged in around 4:30pm and began camping.

After about 5-10min, a Draenei Hunter (Shuuko) logged in and waved. I nodded in return, and began assuming the worst was probably going to happen again. Not but 5min after that, guess who shows up... the goblin DK that griefed me last night. He saw me and Shuuko, and bowed of course.. I instantly sent Shuuko a tell telling them to ignore his actions, and I explained my story from last night. Shuuko told me they remembered reading my story on Petopia, and at that point I could tell they weren't here to grief me like the others.

The dk didn't stick around long, thank goodness. But then another toon from their same guild.. a goblin hunter.. came by. Could I not catch a break..? To my surprise, they also left shortly after. So Shuuko and I continued with small chat, and traded info from old MMOs we used to play to what rare pets we've tamed, to pass the time.

By now it was 5:45 and I was in need of some dinner, being that I didn't eat since lunch at work. So I told Shuuko I was gonna be off for a bit, and wished them luck.. as I'd much rather have them get Jadefang while I was gone rather than one of those players from the horde guild.

I got back online by 6:30, and Shuuko greeted me. Still no sign of him. Maybe it was something I ate, or maybe I was just tired from work... but I started closing my eyes sitting in my computer chair. I knew I had to make a choice: sleep about 4hrs now and then stay up during the late hrs til work... or stay up now til about midnight and then pass out. I decided to try and make it until midnight.

So I started playing Spades (not full screen so I could still see my npcscan) and put on some tunes. 7:32pm Jadefang spawns, I instantly click back on to WoW and scatter shot him. I was too nervous to lay a trap, just started taming. Got him. Shuuko was displayed as afk, not sure if they were running Npcscan or not.. but they didn't move til I had already tamed him.

Even after all I went through the past 24hrs, I felt bad Shuuko missed it :/ But of course I am grateful it only took me one more day after my horrible encounter.

I want to give a huge thanks (and my condolences) to Shuuko for being kind and respectful during our camping time. I really want to hear when you get him, keep me informed! And let me know if you need help with any griefers.

I'd also like to give a shout out to Tmoj - the troll shaman - who showed me honorable demeanor while looking to camp Jadefang for the companion.

Woot grats on your tame I saw her when i was lvl 84 as i was flying overhead (npcscan goes through the tunnels and it scared the hell outta me. Asked around for a exotic tamer and found one reply and told him about Jadefang which 20min later he whispered back a thank you since he was after her but had taken a break).

When i hit 85 she was the first spawn i camped for lvl 85 only and i sat for a few hours, met a DK who was looking for the baby version but said that if we both were there ingame then she wouldnt kill so i could tame (i was there before her anyways) but she never popped at all. I log in the corner of the back of the cave thinking she spawns about half way inbetween.

I log in and enter the world and while im in the loading screen i leave for about half hour to have my shower and i return, move my mouse so my screen turns on again and Jadefang in all her enormous glory is quietly, and very silently just sitting there beside my character as if she was pretending she was my pet already and omg i freaked out sooooooo baaaaaad and i ran infront of her, popped an ice trap, and tamed.

Jadefang is such a peaceful beast, she pretended to be my pet, she was tamed without a fuss and never laid a claw on me (yay trap) and she just quietly ate some num nums when a troll hunter jumped up and landed just a few yards from me just as im feeding Jadefang her second snack o.o

She was like 'omg grats, did you just get her??' and i was like yea.. so she sat down and logged out, i left, came back a few hours later and logged, returned and she was sitting there with Ghostcrawler and i left again (i do not lie.. i really want the minipet but i dont want to spend the gold..) and i havent returned to her spawn yet.

Ooooooh roflol that would explain why i dont ever see it on the AH-- not seeing it made me paranoid of the price it'd cost if it was actually placed in (im saving up for sandstone drake STILL so im hoarding all the gold i can...)
