I believe this is how many other "newer" tames went - changed family class a patch or two before they became tameable.

Silly question (maybe?), but are these actually classified as silithids, or are they scorpids? That is, do you need beast mastery to tame them? I would hate to try to fish a friend up to summon one for me only to find I need nine more levels to tame it...

Voting for the "replace intimidation with beast mastery" option. Intimidation really feels like a joke of an ability to get when you hit level ten, compared to aimed or explosive shot. And after choosing the masochistic option in going BM at level ten you have to wait sixty agonizing level...

They don't mention the pet's ability to hold its own, though. I went for a trip through AQ40 to check and see how the beasts in there were doing, and I was able to solo the first several bosses easily as BM. You don't have to heal yourself when you don't take damage, and when a boss MCs everyone in ...

Feeding frenzy is also a timed buff now, so you can kill a mob and have it still going for the next one. In fights with adds, or if you're just running through dungeons quickly, you could keep up feeding frenzy quite a bit and do more damage with cunning than ferocity.

They are not. I checked every beast I came across in outland from 58-70, nothing new in Zangarmarsh, Nagrand, or Netherstorm. All we seem to get from Outland is hellboars (better than nothing, though!).
