Well I can report that the glitch did not fix after the server restart, but it did go down. It was now at 109 Million a second. I glanced that just before I abandoned the pet. For the record, it was Ol' Beaky from H DM.

Yes it's a glitch and not your doing, but if you then turn around and oh, start killing 100 mobs at a time with it, you could be looking at a warning at best and a forced vacation at worst.
