Massive HoT on Pet Glitch

Has anyone ever encountered this glitch before? I did once when I pulled out my Ghostly Jormanger pet in Twilight Highlands. Then it was about a 10K a second HoT. Here it's a full 123+ Million a second HoT! I'm still in awe. I'm just curious about this as all hell. How could this have happened?

Part of me wants to use it to farm but, IDK. I think I'd be in trouble if I used it without contacting a GM. I kinda want to so they can fix it, so there's no chance of them putting something on my record. I already got a mark for saying in trade once, "All white people should be shoved into a rocker and shot into the sun." (I'm part white, for the record). So yeah. IDK. Maybe I'm being too cautious.

I wouldn't use it. Yes it's a glitch and not your doing, but if you then turn around and oh, start killing 100 mobs at a time with it, you could be looking at a warning at best and a forced vacation at worst. Not to say that they will catch you or that they'd do anything even if they did, since they do everything on a case by case basis but why risk it?

My thoughts exactly. Plus, why cheat? Blizzard does enough to help you be really, really good if you play like shit. lol

I could be wrong but there was a hot fix not long ago that was suppose to fix the bug that could see your pet spawn with low hp and have a few seconds where it was vulnerable to attacks, I dont know how it was fixed but this massive heal would fit the bill, why it continues after the pet is full hp I cant guess but Im thinking this is a bug caused by the hp 'fix' ...as to using a pet effected by this, I feel for you my friend I would not be able to help myself, at least a Solo TK run for Ashes (though I'd be itching to go for a few ICC bosses too) be careful though this isnt a hack used by you but Blizzard can suspend you for exploiting or mis-using unexpected mechanics in the game.

You died when summoning a pet, and it had that awesome healing? I'd like to give it a try just once. Not for farming, but just for the fun factor.

That hotfix hasn't be implemented 'cause just last week I had that happen where my pet died when I attacked with it too soon after summoning it. The new patch drops tonight so we'll see if it comes this time around. Yeah I'm not going to use it to tank anything, but thanks for the advice. lol

Nope. I did not die while summoning it. I just summoned it. In fact I was cleaning out my stable of pets I won't be using.

No patch tonight as far as I can tell, restarts only - no shutdown. ^^; Unless they're sneaking in some quick fix. But I doubt it after this pet spawn bug being there for so long

I got this bug after bringing out my Core Hound for the first time since I stabled him. My boyfriend and I were in AQ, on the Twins at the time, and I saw Vermilion (my Core Hound) was healing for over 8 million. Also, Rabid was on a CD of 25 days. Clearly just a stabling glitch =)

Once we died attempting to kill the Twins, he reverted back to normal.

Well I can report that the glitch did not fix after the server restart, but it did go down. It was now at 109 Million a second. I glanced that just before I abandoned the pet. For the record, it was Ol' Beaky from H DM.

I'd imagine it's much like the Bestial Wrath glitch when you stable a pet with an existing buff.

Looks like there's a healing icon on your parrot's bar there, I wanna say Lifebloom but I haven't played my healing druid in a while. Is it possible that a druid threw a heal her way, you dismissed her and stuck her in the stable? It doesn't explain the massive heals ticking, but that's how people wind up with 27 day Bestial Wraths and Mend Pets.
