I got Kirix yesterday and I can attest that the lone floating rock technique did not seem to work for me. The tame would start out ok but he would suddenly evade and then retarget me and kill me!!! I was dropping traps, both frost and explosive in his path to aggro him so maybe those were the proble...

I had read this works but I had also read around the net that he can and does evade sometimes and for me he kept evading during the tame and breaking it. Each time I pulled him I used an ice or explosive trap or both.
