There is a White Eagle named Salty on Seabreak Isle off the western coast of Azsuna.

One can cast Beast Lore on it and begin the taming process, but the tame spell finishes without the pet. Also, attacking the creature causes all enemies (Merlocks and the Eagle) to disappear from the Island.

Just making sure, but - I was attempting to tame a Deviate Plainstrider with the glowy appearance buff via death tame and it seems that either this wears off at death or the ability to tame this creature in this manner was removed with the fire patch change. Can anyone confirm or deny this...

I might add, that I understand the chicks are not an appearance buff, but if the game simply pulls the original base attributes from the creature, it stands to reason that in theory Mazz could also spawn chicks that follow if tamed in this manner.
