Regarding the Mutant War Hound that was mentioned earlier in the post, I decided to go give him a looksie. It appears when you kill the mob it does not keep the green coloring or disease cloud. I think that makes it a bad candidate for a permanent buff pet.

Upon further investigation of the Infested Bear mob in Hillsbrad this is what I noticed. The debuff they have, [Feeding the Brood], does not appear to do any damage to the mob at all. I was checking out those Infested Bears and this is what I noticed. When you kill them, the little skulls they spit out disappear. When they die from the debuff of the spider eggs [Feeding the Brood], then they keep the skulls after death.
