Re: World of Warcraft: Forever
I quite like the way it looks, personally. I don't think the old wolves ever had actual eye glow, their eyes were just painted a bright yellow color.

Re: World of Warcraft: Forever
New area in Tirisfal Glades, the Whispering Forest, has a new(ish) wolf skin. It's one of the worg colors applied to the basic wolf. I didn't find it on a hunter so I can't check if it can be tamed, but I'd be surprised if it can't.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
I like the ray update overall, but part of me wants to be really nitpicky about them having visible pupils. I definitely prefer the inscrutable, blank, glowing eyes of the originals, the multiple rows of teeth inside the mouth, and the snarling look, like their lips are pulled back to expose the ...

Re: Suggestions for our Lurker.. ;)
The Brunnhildar weapons offer a source of guaranteed frost damage and are simply bought from a vendor after a short questline. Giving chimaeras frost damage sounds cool but seeing as frost damage would ignore armor it would automatically make them the best pet for DPS.

Re: The War Within Beta - Beasts Thread
Is pack leader actually good and impactful for survival spec, it affects the survival rotation, but is it worth the price, I went with sentinel due to it not interfering with survival spec, should I make the change if it’ll keep myself and pets alive more
I'd argue that Pack Leader has less to ...

Re: The War Within Beta - Beasts Thread
Pack Leader has been helping my pet stay alive as Survival, and I believe Pack Leader is even better as BM. Pack Leader has a passive called Den Recovery which heals an additional 20-25% health on Mend Pet and ADDS 20-25% health restoration on Survival of the Fittest and Aspect of the Turtle. I can ...

The worm getting fixed makes sense, I'm always disappointed when things like the salamander are fixed. I really hope they revert it.

Re: The War Within Beta - Beasts Thread
Found something interesting in Hallowfall.
So you remember the NPC name?
It's the Highland Hatchling. In my (somewhat limited) search, it may be a single mob that spawns with this appearance. I've found two other variants so far, waiting to see if it spawns in all possible colors. It ...

Re: Wrath of the Lich King Classic: summary of changes
I could be wrong but I swear I ran a raid with someone just a couple days ago who had a color-changing ravager. I think it's the Rip-Blade Ravager from Blade's Edge? I'd have to go check myself, but I don't have an open pet slot right now. I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to re-level my cat...

Re: 9.2 story spoilers
The lore is apparently that the gray-scale world we see when we die in-game is known as "the Veil" and is the spot where Azeroth and the Shadowlands overlap. The spirit healers are kyrians who gather up souls that are wandering here and send them on their way. I believe it's kind of inferred that ...

Re: 9.2 story spoilers
My biggest issue with the "split soul" idea is that it kind of... steps on a lot of old Forsaken/Scourge lore in general.
It's always been a concept in WoW that undeath changes a person, not just the trauma of dying and being reanimated against your will, but that the improper "resurrection" if you ...

Re: Akkarai hatchling tameable in TBC as carrion bird?
Very late reply, sorry. I took a break from WoW after the lawsuit got out. I got an itch and came back. My server is heavily Alliance sided, and even then, it's a low-pop server, so I might not be able to test to make sure, but beast lore DOES show the Akkarai Hatchling as tameable. It's still a ...

Re: Ravager AtkSpeed
If you're Beast Mastery, you're likely getting another 20% attack speed from the Serpent's Swiftness talent that applies to both you and the pet. I have both of those increases and my ravager is also at 1.28.
I don't know if the 20% from that and 30% from Cobra Reflexes adds up to 1.28 speed, but ...

Re: Akkarai hatchling tameable in TBC as carrion bird?
I have a hunter toon at 70 on classic, but I don't think the Skyguard rep has been released yet. I plan to hit it as soon as it's out, however, so I'll try to remember to take a peek at the birds when I do it.

Re: Dragonhawks and Fire Breath
I think the dragonhawk fire breath was one of the only abilities to scale with level? So that rank 1 breath should be fine until you can get the level 2 breath in Outland, which doesn't even do that much more damage.

Re: Hunter Pet head-turning behavior
I never played around on the PTR, but now that it's live... this is atrocious. I don't like keeping my pet out now. I just tamed a cloud serpent and it looked awful, especially when moving. WoW models can already have some pretty severe warping issues once they start moving, but when the head is ...

Re: Shadowlands Pet Bugs & Suggestions
The Roughback Leapers found in Nazmir would make a fine addition to the toad family. It seems they're already part of it, just aren't flagged tameable? There are other toads that also use this model, but I don't remember their exact names and locations.
