Talonclaw can be DW mogged
Not sure if this is intentional or a bug, but it's pretty cool. Hunters can dual-wield, and any melee weapon can be transmogged into Talonclaw. If you have a weapon mogged into a 1H in your main hand and a weapon mogged into Talonclaw in your offhand, they'll both show up. Unfortunately, if you have...

That's the one part that disappoints me. I'm going to miss my Dreamway Prowler Pup.Vephriel wrote:I'm also glad that it'll finally be our own pet.

Re: BFA Taking a Step Back for Pets. :/ (Specializations)
I don't see why they're locking families to specs though. What if I want a mechanical pet that gives me +10% health? What if I want a spirit beast that gives me heroism? What if I want a raptor that gives Master's call? It's the same reason they won't let you tank with your Priest by shooting arrow...

Re: Hati?
We bound Hati to us in order to keep him from dying. If he died, then Titanstrike would be useless. Hati was imbued with the power of the Thunderspark, which originally powered Titanstrike. By keeping Hati alive, Titanstrike continues to be powered via the wolf. If Titanstrike is corrupted, then Ha...

Re: Battle for Azeroth Allied Races Thread
It was written so that both factions would aid the Nightfallen in reclaiming Suramar. However, there was natural animosity that exited between the Nightfallen and the Kaldorei (as there should be). This didn't help relations at all. On the other hand, the Sin'dorei were much more understanding of t...

Re: Battle for Azeroth Allied Races Thread
Not really. There are plenty of good reasons for the Nightborne to join the Horde. The reasons expressed in the acquisition questline weren't great, but that is on Blizz. But outside of that, they fit far better alongside the Sin'dorei than Kaldorei. The Nightborne storyline was written to be neutr...

Re: BFA Taking a Step Back for Pets. :/ (Specializations)
I'd like to know their reasoning for such a design change, like what their end goal is. I obviously can't speak for Blizzard, but this change makes a lot of sense to me. Currently, homogenization has reached the point where in a typical raid environment (where plenty of people have hero/brez), all ...

Re: WoW Classic pets
The issue with giving them new content is that there will be some who will keep wanting new content. Classic servers are meant to largely be vanilla as it originally was. If you start giving them new things, then it moves away from being vanilla to being a different game. Vanilla, as it originally ...

Re: WoW Classic pets
Blizz should just give them vanilla as it was. One intriguing possibility is that they could add some things which almost were in Vanilla. For example, dwarf mages were playable in Beta, but cut before release. Then readded years later. Should they be allowed in Classic? I think even many purists w...

Re: WoW Classic pets
Reading forum posts about which version of Vanilla is the right version, and folks wanting a "remastered" Vanilla, has been very interesting. I hope Mr. Brack knows the can of worms he opened  They are going to have to remaster it to some extent. They need to make it work with modern OSs/hardw...

Re: WoW Classic pets
They've stated they're hiring a completely new team for this project, so nothing in the current game will be affected! That's a bit disingenuous. Hiring a new team costs money. If they weren't doing classic they'd have that money to hire a new team to do something else. (also I'm in agreement, I ca...

Re: WoW Classic pets
I look forward to experiencing the original hunter experience, Not quite, since they will likely base this off of a patch near the end of Vanilla rather than the beginning. For example, there is a rare wolf in Duskwood named Lupos. Originally, it did shadow damage with its melee attacks, even after...

Re: SHADOW MARSUUL
They behave in a buggy manner (temporarily losing the buff on play dead, etc.). This both suggests that it was not something they did intentionally and gives them a reason to remove them.

Re: The Hunt for the Fel Hippogryph (Lalathin) Edit: Found i
I definitely think it's doable without pots/haste buff, though mine was a heroic lockout and my hunter was poorly geared so even with turtle I was dying a split second before the tame could complete, it certainly made it easier on me! My hunter is 888 and I was using a Heroic instance as well. Of c...

Re: The Hunt for the Fel Hippogryph (Lalathin) Edit: Found i
You don't need a pot to solo. Here's how I did it. 1. Since my Hunter has never run NH, used group finder to put my hunter in a group with one of my other characters which has done the necklace quest. Unlocked the door on that character. 2. Cheetah/Turtle to the orb room. FD to drop aggro, then use ...

Has anyone confirmed if she respawns yet? If not there's going to be a race to ensure someone in the raid doesn't kill her, but since it's Normal and above hopefully there'll be more control over that. If it was LFR I wouldn't give her a hope in Hell. She has to respawn, because of the way raid loc...

Re: Removed puppys?
Same for me. Blizz changed all puppies into the Gray Worg model. For some, they can still see the puppy in the stable. But others (in my case) see a Gray Worg. I've noticed that gradually more and more people are seeing the Gray Worg instead of the puppy, so Blizz might be removing that, too. It's ...

Re: The Hunt for the Fel Hippogryph (Lalathin)
1) Keyword is might have enough dps, and it varies between specs. You're speaking from a BM perspective. 2) That is if you have Prydaz. Not everyone has Prydaz, and a pet shouldn't be designed around it. 3) That is assuming that, once you're pet is dead, that it can even regain agro once rezzed. Th...

Re: The Hunt for the Fel Hippogryph (Lalathin)
Elisande isn't soloable. There are too many mechanics that require for there to be multiple people. You would have to have the dps to down the adds fast enough in order to avoid the rings. Sure, but a ToS-geared hunter might have enough DPS. And you can always run through the rings if necessary - t...

Re: The Hunt for the Fel Hippogryph (Lalathin)
Oof. Except Elisande is a raid boss and not a dungeon boss. Unless they don't want us getting this for 3-4 years, I don't think it's likely to be that. Elisande will be soloable well before that. A Hunter recently soloed Renferal, which is just one tier behind. So it won't be surprising if someone ...
