"Huh, Druid.... I can't tell the colors from this distance... god I hope that's a Tauren since I'm flagged but I don't want to get closer to figure it out."
"Oh look, its the bear that got dropped in a vat of paint several times. /runs"
Ignoring the horrible texture and hoping to god that they just didn't notice for some reason and it'll get fixed before release. /denial
Generally, when I'm trying to identify somebody in this game, I hover over them with my mouse and look at my tooltip window.
(Really, out of all the arguments over the troll druid forms this has always striked me as the most inane. Not only are there a lot of ways to identify somebody without directly looking at them, but unless you have the draw distance of the gods and you can see p-dawg from 600 feet away, you'll be able to clearly see the difference between druid forms anyway!)

Now that we know troll druids have been hiding for over six years, how could they hide with bright colors like that?
Prowl
If a male bright blue haired night elf rogue wearing a lovely red dress can stealth successfully, I can't see a troll druid having too many problems.
(okay, silly example, but still)

The white furred Troll Bear isn't too dissimillar from a polar bear. A little more grey/silvery than the real creature but certainly less bright than the other colour choices. I *think* the matching cat form is the pale blue furred tiger. Although it does not have a real-world natural equivelent colour, it isn't too dissimilar from the in-game cat Rak'Shiri. Also, the pelt of that tiger is complimentary to his mane colour as well.
*sigh* Sorry. I think I raged a little here. I don't really mean to step on peoples toes or insult them. But I do want to argue for these forms. I admit, I raged a little at the texture issues myself earlier. But thinking about it (and with some excelent points brought up by others in this topic) I can live with them. Happily.
It's okay not to like the colours of these guys. I undrerstand that the very bright, contrasting colours are not for everyone (although they do have artistic merit :3 ). But saying they are the unredeemable, horrible piles of excriment just because you personally don't like them? Remember that plenty of us do. Even love them to bits.
Let me end on the fact that I think that the models on MMO aren't entirely correct. The pics posted on Blizzard do seem to be a little toned down in comparison, so let me link them to you here:
