Any word or sighting of new bear skins?

I like the bear family much but I havent seen any cool new Bear Skins really. Anyone find special ones? Like a blue one, or a red one, or a flaming red one, or maybe a green and purple one. That would be neat

I think there's a new diseased blue bear noted on the "new pets" sticky. Other than that, haven't come across anything/

In all honesty, the families that is most crying out for more love is bats, first and foremost (1 model, 4 skins, ever since vanilla). At least there are a fair number of bear skins, albeit a disturbing number of them with plague.

All pets need new skins, honestly. Some have gotten some, I know, but I am talking about older models, Cata is redoing the old world, why not redo old world models as well?

I don't doubt that Blizzard would very much like to update old models, just as they would like to update the models of the older player races. They've just got other more important things on their plates like content, raids, items, etc. that are core to keeping the game fun and alive, so right now devoting time to programming and designing model changes that are only aesthetic wouldn't be the best use of their time and our money.

That's not to say it 100% will not happen, though! Changes like this may just come along once they've got Cataclysm up and running and when we're all happily struggling to reach 85 and getting geared for/running the first raids.

I agree for the most part. I think when Cataclysm comes out.. they're going to probably shift their attention to the other races and upgrade the models/textures then perhaps in the future give the rest of the models some love as well. They've been doing it bit by bit with the faction leaders so I'm sure they'll keep going.
..that said. I think the player model upgrades are needed more than the pet models.. mostly because the pets aren't THAT bad.. at least some of them are. I know the cat models are glaringly bad but lets face it not many people actually use cats right now..
