Gezzarak now tameable AGAIN on Cata beta!

Okay, to recap, since people are getting confused:

Gezz is tameable again ON BETA.

This means that either after the Cataclysm or in one of the small patches before it, she will be tameable by EVERYONE again.

She summons like any other warp stalker and is very unlikely to get her lightning summon back.

Thanks Kall, I better update my OP for all the confusion that is happening on here. These forums have always been for the Cataclysm beta, but now that there's a PTR 4.0 beta I guess we have to be more clear. Perhaps we need a PTR 4.0 forum as well?

All good, Wain! It's rough, cause people come in and either misread something or miss a post and get confused...then someone else comes in, misses their post (or misses the replies) and is confused....and then goes on for pages.

Mania seems pretty swamped IRL, but I agree: it might be slightly less confusing to have a PTR forum. At least that forum wouldn't become obsolete with the release of the expanion.

Most excited about Gezz becoming tamable - I didn't catch her in time before they changed her status. Time to go farm up Shadow Dust again!

Blizz probably just put a hold on her when the lil lightning summon thing and then said to themselves "she'll be tameable when we fix that"... it just took them awhile since it probably wasnt high on the to-do-list

No, the Skyguard grind is easy, just time consuming. It won't take a lot of work to get to the point where you can tame Gezz.

I'm torn now, I really like the new warpie skins but man... Gezz! <3

How hard is it getting through the quest chain to get her to spawn? Does it require a couple people?

If I remember correctly, the quest doesn't have any rep requirements. You just need to have unlocked the Skyguard quests located at the border of Terokkar Forest and Shadowmoon Valley - that happens by taking a quest from the skyguard person next to the Shattrath Flight Master.

The biggest concern is gathering the reagents to actually summon her. First you need to gather 6 Shadow Dust and take them to Severin, who will then turn them into an Elixir of Shadows. Drink the Elixir, and then go back to where you gathered the Shadow Dust earlier. You should now see some Time-Lost Skettis in addition to the ones that already were there. The Time-Lost Skettis drop Time-Lost Scrolls, which you will need 10 of for every time you summon Gezzarak.

Once you have all the scrolls, find one of the skull piles scattered around the Skettis area (not on the island though, that's used to summon another quest mob), click the skulls and choose to summon Gezzarak. (You will have 4 mobs to choose from.)

I can't remember exactly how many quests you need to unlock the Elixir of Shadows quest.. Might be a tad longer quest chain or just the introduction quest, hope someone else knows?
