Eyes of the beast is gone

its gone! just was on public test realm, and no one else seems to have noticed this...why on earth would blizzard remove the ability to control our pets????

move pet does not let you control your pet, or scout with the pet, it simply lets you position it a bit better. truth is, eotb had alot more uses than simply a move command..

It's gone...?

I love using this spell. I do it all the time in raids while waiting for afk people. I have my pet escort others around town and through dungeons, to get through dungeons as a scout to see if that rare spawn is in there, what mobs are up in MTG, etc... Its all a bit sad thats it's gone to be honest.

Maybe its me though but Move sucks as a EotB replacement. I liked the complete ability of temporarily fully controlling my pet, not just telling it "go there and stay" =(

Made watching patrol patterns of mobs really easy when you had a Spirit Beast of Cat since you could prowl and watch in safety. Eye of Kilrogg is nice to, though more likely to be seen

I never claimed Move Pet was better than Eyes, but that's the reason Eyes is gone.

I don't know why they did this, it was fun sometimes and wouldn't hurt anything by being left in.

EE = scouting in BGs + scaring alliance that someone's at the flag in BGs. Oh, and I did use it on the road down to Karazhan to see whether it was safe to run down or if I was likely to be mobbed by bored alliance back in the day. Umm... yeah, that's about it for me I think.

Okay, this is utterly depressing. :<

I absolutely hate using "Dismiss Pet", it just seems quite rude to dismiss a pet when I have to jump or doing something a bit more complex. I don't treat my pet like they're stupid (although their pathing used to suck majorly and is only minorly better now). I always use EotB to move my pet where he needs to go, have them "Wait", and I follow after them.

I used to freak people out in Rend's room. I never dismissed my pet to jump down, and people would start shrieking that I was going to pull the entire upper floor when they saw my pet was still out... No, my pet was already down in the pit and calmly awaiting us. I always got complimented on the fact that my pet management never causes any wipes or unexpected pulls.

I keep a very tight rein on my pet management, a throwback from Vanilla, and I am disgusted they are removing this ability. Thoroughly disgusted.

I only ever used Eyes of the Beast while waiting for Raids.

I won't really miss it...Except that one time I used it to swim around as a crocolisk in Wetlands. That was fun.

why?
i use ee several times an HOUR while farming mats since it works with tracking.im glad its still in game.
ill miss eotb.it was also useful...

I WANT IT BACK! Not only was it good for scouting and all of that stuff, but when I get in a dungeon group with a real douche, it's fun to EOB and aggro a lot of mobs without anyone knowing, then feign death and watch as the group wipes. I know I'm a jerk, but a lot of the people have it coming, and now I can't do it anymore!!!!!
