Beetles - can someone check whether exotic now?
This question was raised in the "Beetles" thread however I didn't see a response; now that they apparently are going to move over to the tenacity tree I was wondering if someone can verify whether they can be tamed by a non-BM hunter?

I tamed one today and it is Tenacity. Now I am a BM, so not sure about the BM or Non-BM taming.

Ok, good to know tenacity is a definite.Jolyroger wrote:I tamed one today and it is Tenacity. Now I am a BM, so not sure about the BM or Non-BM taming.
Now the only question is, do MM and SV get access to this awesome tank pet?

They are not exotic. Tamed one on a 0/0/0 specced hunter. They also have lost the Qiraji Fortitude buff sometime between yesterday and today.

Do they have an ability yet?
Please please please don't give them another crappy pvp thing (crossed fingers)

Well at least they're now safely clear of the pvp family...The Insect Man wrote:Do they have an ability yet?

I was talking about the talent tree, e.g. now they can get useful tank stuff like charge, TS etcThe Insect Man wrote:safely of the...? Sadly ferocity and tenacity bugs have all been given pvp skills, as I have whined and moaned obnoxiously about on other threads

As have cunning ones!
I hadn't realized it before, but I do hope Blizzard decides to make ONE bug that isn't geared for PvP utility.
There ARE tenacity PvP pets. >_> Just look at crabs.

Finally have my hunter working for the moment, and it seems Beetles have been fully seperated from silithid, as now Silithids have the Fort Buff, and currently Beetles do not have a special ability
Also, I noticed Silithid Workers are now considered beasts, at least in Tanaris, so perhaps they will become tameable.

Criminy! beasts with diets, no less.
Would make sense to have them as alternate silithid models, although a new family is always welcome

Re: Beetles - can someone check whether exotic now?
Yeah, they were made beasts at the same time that the beetle silithids became tameable. It may just be a cleanup by the same devs while they were setting the beetles and wasps, but who knows?Doth777 wrote:Also, I noticed Silithid Workers are now considered beasts, at least in Tanaris, so perhaps they will become tameable.

All the trees have talents that aren't pvp oriented.

The cunning tree is more pvp oriented than the others.

Re: Beetles - can someone check whether exotic now?
According to BRK's video today, either Beetles have an armour stealing skill, which is good, or possibly tenacity pets do (seems weird, but that's what he seemed to suggest). If the former then I confess myself very pleasantly satisfied. Will make for a cracking pet tank if that's the case.
