I don't know about #1, but the answer to 2 and 3, as of 9/19 beta build, is no. Neither are tameable.

If by "crows in Outland" you mean the raven sort of model in Blade's Edge Mountains, they've been tameable a long time.

1. No. They're undead. We tame beasts, not undead.

2. Devilsaurs are tameable. If you mean the others, probably not.

3. Girraffes will probably never be tameable, just liek the Zheveras. They're just there.

4. Seems so!

The sail-fin dinosaur types are called Diemetradons :) Well, except for the hot pink ones in Searing Gorge, which are called Incendosaurs. No, they're still not tameable in this latest patch :( Nor are the Pterrordaxes and Thunderlizards.

There are a few brain bugs (silithid colossi) tameable now. Two (the blue and the purple/orange) are rares in Tanaris. The one in Thousand Needles is a common spawn and has its top missing, exposing its brain, which sloshes back and forth as it walks. Very gross :)

None of the herd beasts (stags, giraffes, zhevras, talbuks, shoveltusks etc.) have been found to be tameable in this patch.

It's inside the silithid hive that was on the salt flats, which are under water in Cataclysm. I'm pretty sure the new colossi are Cataclysm-only, but it'd be interesting if they did show up on the PTR (or tameable beetles, for instance).

If you mean the 4.0 PTR (pre-Cataclysm), I don't believe so, but I could be wrong.

Brain bugs aren't on PTR. They won't be in until (and IF) the continent changes come in. Yes they are fun to play with but you have to get used to a giant ass bug, which can make clicking on little things like gathering nodes and quest givers a pain. The "move to" command is your friend.

You: "Erm, look can you just...move a bit? I can't really reach that mining node."
Bug: 8D
You: "Okay, seriously. You're in my way."
Bug: o.o
You: "GO STAND IN THE CORNER!"

The only demon-like thing we tame is the blighthound and it's only one color. We can't tame the blues because they're classified as demons. Hell Boars currently are untameable but they aren't demons either. They're of the Beast class. Also those ghost spirits? They're called SPIRIT BEASTS for a reason. ;)

So we don't tame demons or elementals. Blizzard won't allow us. Though if mages could tame elementals, that'd be wicked.

Taluwen wrote:The only demon-like thing we tame is the blighthound and it's only one color.
Still clearly demonic what with the burning flames on paws and mane
We can't tame the blues because they're classified as demons.
Classification can change very easily
Hell Boars currently are untameable but they aren't demons either.
These are demonic creatures and we will be able to tame them in cata.
Also those ghost spirits? They're called SPIRIT BEASTS for a reason. ;)
Not ghost sabers or ghost howl (or ghostly jormungar for that matter) ;)

Even setting them aside, spirit beasts nonetheless are very clearly supernatural and not just beasts.
So we don't tame demons or elementals.
Demons were covered above; as for elementals how else would you classify a creature made of lava (corehound) or a configuration of floating rocks (shale spider) :P

A creature's current species tag only means Blizzard doesn't currently want us to tame that particularly creature, however from a conceptual standpoint it's already been demonstrated repeatedly that having been raised from the grave or called from another plane is by no means a categorical bar against it being a hunter pet... if not now, then later on.

Nope, that is not the case anymore. The Brainbugs are their own unique mobs in Cataclysm named Harakiss and Ainamiss. Soriid and Haarka remain as their old selves. They're separate from each other.
