So where's the patch that lets my Leatherworker/Skinner make a mount out of leather hides? XD

Can you use the mount more than once, without the potion/elixir, or do you need to make it each time?

It does look really cool, and I kind of agree with the 'too many dragons', just from seeing them in Dal.

Looks like it's actually considered a mount. Shows the regeants too, tho one doesn't quite have a label yet...doesn't look too bad to make.

Also, doesn't look like it requires Alchemy to use, but it is BoP so you would need Alchemy in the first place to make it.

Which means means one could actually drop a proffession, level Alc, learn the transform, then learn somthing else... and still be able to use.... I R excited if it stays that way :D

Me too. It'd be a hassle but I'd totally do it.

Maybe you could sew some hides together to make bad wings and just flap your arms really fast? :) I keed. Honestly, for the profession that requires you to kill and rip hides from animals, you aren't going to make friends with many "living" ridable beasties.

This alchy mount is the best news I've heard in a good long while. I was beat up for going herb/alchy all through classic because I could FD, but didn't roll engie, so I couldn't rez (clean up after a wipe). It got better in TBC and better in Wrath as they fleshed out what an alchy could do. Now, I feel somewhat vindicated for staying alchy all this time. I've wanted to transform into a dragon for a long time. I will be doing discoveries EVERY day until I get this Vial.

Now if they could only add a potion that brought someone back to life...
I don't really feel like this is so much the "Post-Modern" era as much as its the "Pre-Zombie-Apocalpse" era. I consider myself more of a forward thinking guy and an era that just won't die is just as feasible as a coming era, where the dead come back.

If this is really a mount that can continue to be used even after dropping alchemy, I would seriously consider dropping mining on my main (after re-maxing her engineering of course) and taking alchemy just to get it. And I REALLY love mining.

Oh shoot... if I drop mining I will lose my ability to smelt elementium. >.< maybe that's not such a great idea...

If you start now, you can gather a ton of mats towards leveling alch and then releveling engi... that's an option, at least. I'm debating the same for my main, but she's a JCer and there's no way in hell I'm relearning all those damn Dalaran cuts! So mining would have to go, though yes, I'd lose the ability to smelt elementium.

Either way, I'm not doing anything until I have confirmation that I would be able to still use it after switching back to mining.

Who said I wanted their friendship, MY PET IS THE ONLY FRIEND I NEED! ;D J/K
I always thought leatherworking should've been able to make like a pseudo-mount from stitching hides together. Like an Abomination-Cat, minus the gut spillover O_o

Blacksmithing should be able to make a metal mount. Like Iron Ore-Hound *snicker*

but no seriously, the rest of us professions want a mount too D:

Dangit, now I gotta drop Mining and get alchemy so I can turn into a dragon and drag my friends around the world whenever I need them to help me get a new Hunters pet. DX

I paid 1900 gold to get the lifelike mechanical toad schematic (possibly a waste of gold... but then again I have NEVER seen it drop, ever), I have the force-reactive disk schematic, and some dark-iron items. No way am I dropping engineering, I love my rocket boots, parachute, and wormholes way too much. :)

LW and BS for them i could see like as someone said before an amoured version of their races mount. Like a leather armour bound kodo or a plate armour battle ram! would be so cool.

No, I didn't have any professions. My skill was 174. xD I seriously had forgotten to level it...cause my DK was my alchemist and I don't like DKs.

think of thegrand fun you can have if you are a druid.

druid "hey pal want a ride? i can turn into a dragon and you can mount me."

shmuck "sure sounds great!"

druid changes to dragon, shmuck mounts, they lift off and climb pretty high, druid removes mount buff both start to fall, druid shifts to bird form, shmuck goes splat, fun is had by alll.

what would make above better is if druid dropped shmuck some where where shmuck could not reach his corpse.
