Missing A Friend..

Alright, I've posted on these forums for nearly every tame I have made so I'm not going to explain everything. Short version is that I camped for over 2 weeks to find Aotona, and before I found her I found Loque. Never liked Loques model, but he started to grow on me just a little. I decided to abandon him when I found Aotona when I finally found her because I didn't want to abandon Mali, my first rare spawn pet that I got when I was low level (he is Humar). Well last week I abandoned Mali to get an Oil Stained Worg in case they take them away.

Now that Brewfest is around, there is TONS of hunters outside of Org. It's a really neat thing to just sit and pet watch haha. But I keep seeing one damn pet over and over..

And it's made me want to get him back SO much. He's not even a pet I really bonded with, he didn't have a name yet when I abandoned him, and I can't stand the model.. but he grew on me so much I didn't really realize just HOW much he did until I let him go. I regret abandoning him for Aotona. I love my Kaleet, but I don't know. I know Loque is going to be the first pet I get back after 4.0 and bigger stables. I have many others who I will be retaming, but Loque is the only one who I am truely missing besides Samuel, my yellow worm.

Do any of you guys have any pets you abandoned then regretted? What about ones you are waiting to retame in Cata?

I definitely have a few that were hard to let go... Though I have to say, the thought of our soon-to-be expanded stables helps. I will be going to Blades Edge to retame my grey raptor, Rafa, right away. Then I'll hop over to Terokkar to get my Trachela, Gemini, back as well. Gemini wasn't as hard to let go, but I've been missing her a lot lately.

Strangely, I've found myself missing my Gondria, Safira, as well. It's weird because I had no qualms about abandoning her and I don't particularly like her model... I don't know if I'll retame her since I have Skoll and Arcturis and am planning to get Loque, but we'll see.

I've been playing a hunter since the moment I got my own account, and yeah, I definitely get attached to the pets.

I miss my white wolf, Fenris. I gave him up to tame my red demon dog, and even though I love Baldr, things just aren't the same without my wolfie.

I'm also going back to get my purple raptor back. He was my very first pet.

I love all the pets in my stable now but come Cata, I'm definitely getting some of my old buddies back.

For Sas she'll be getting her white worg back. It was Lupos but I may switch that to Timber. Or OCJ.. unsure yet. She'll probably be getting Araga back as well since I miss Teeka. As well as Nuramoc.

For Saon, she'll be getting Dart back (Takeo), a white tiger (Hawkbane), Raiden (Skoll), and Back Talk (clutch mother). And nuramoc.

I have an ongoing personal plot going on with my characters. Kael will be returning come Cata, having partially recovered from his horrible illness. The whole Deadlock family (Deadlock, Bloodlord, Mari, and Kaido) will also return (they didn't fit in my stables). Jezebel will return, too.

I've got a few "near and dear" pets that will come back. I already got one. Traded Skoll for the Kurken. But, then, Rakshiri, my sporebat, my polar bear, and my white warpie. Very excited to get them back. There are more, but those are the most special to me.

Some of the first ones I'm going to get back are Shikon (Gondria), Sheldon (gray turtle), aaaand...that's all I can think of at the moment. I really miss having both of them around.

Shaon misses a few of her pets. Subek, her loyal bear will be among the first to rejoin her. Her windserpent Inti will follow suit. Shalim (Gondria) is on the list to get back, as is the one time Rak'shiri. We called him Rakesh. And of course, Ramas will make a return from Zul'Drak as that CoH cat was a big love.

But oddly, it's Subek that is most missed. That bear was something else.

As much as it was hard to release Araga and a blue wind serpent in exchange for Azzere and the ghostsaber on Agnas, I've halfheartedly had almost no regret because I knew they were already safe with me on Fio. I haven't released any other pets ever since or before that.

There's a lot of pets that I miss dearly and will be retaming as soon as possible. I think the ones that mean the most to me though would be Kevin my tallstrider, Grudge the diseased bear, Frankenswine the plagued boar, Naraku the ravager, and Rancid the jormungar. They have dibs on coming back first. ^^

You may be able to have him restored by putting in a GM ticket and asking nicely.

I have an OCJ named Antiquus and when I found out about the oil stained wolves I abandoned him in lieu of an oil one. After a couple of days though, the oil-stained wolf hadn't grown on me and I was missing Antiquus pretty badly. I hate the Northrend wolf models anyway. I abandoned the oil wolf, had Antiquus restored, and have never looked back. ^_^

I was really starting to miss my ghost hydra, now I really hate him being transparent and everything, but I really do miss the big guy. Even with all of the noise he made. (I remember being in a group and they wouldn't do the first pull until I switched pets)
Especially after all of the talk with the possibility of Hydra's being a new pet tamable in Cataclysm.

So I put in a ticket today, and I hope to have him restored. (Since it IS a retired pet and all)
Of course it was like a year ago that I abandoned him, and it is totally up to the GM that gets my ticket to restore him, but I am hoping it all works out.

Tiamat my warpstalker has just gone on vacation so I could tame Daggoth, my jormungar. I'll be getting her back, probably with a "makeover" (Gezz's skin) once my new stables are up. Same with Shenzi, the hyena temp-tame I had back when I was going for Ironhide, my black devilsaur.

I never like letting pets go. I'm looking forward to never having to do that again

I have tamed and abandoned more pets over the years than I can count.... a few of the rares/spirit beasts that I abandoned and regretted I was able to get back by putting in a ticket. I got all of them back and I bet you will get yours back too

... and I can't wait for Cata and the larger stable. I'm gonna run out and retame all the pets I let go. I so hated doing it and I want um all back!

I regret Abandoning all of the pets that I've had to Abandon I think. And I'm looking forward to re-taming a whitish rhino, a red raptor, a whitish Warp Stalker and the albino eagle.

My troll huntress' first pet was the common red/violet bat in Tirisfal. When BC was hitting it's end, and Wrath was looming on the horizon, Bat's Screech was long gone as a family skill and little Muche was having issues keeping aggro. On an extremely sad day to make way for a more raid-viable pet, I dismissed Muche back into his Tirisfal home. Every time I rode through Tirisfal Glades, I /yelled hello to him (people thought I was crazy at times).
The very first thing I will do when 4.0 goes through will be to tame one of Muche's children (I like to think he's had a long and happy life and his sons and daughters are flapping lazily about Undercity). I'd go get him now, but every pet Ikult has in her stables are very rare, or not available currently.

Etona, my Night Elf, had to abandon the Akkarai Hatchling today to be able to tame Gondria (I got lucky with almost NO farming Gondria at all- she was waiting for me!). I love the Akkarai Hatchlings. They are spawned from one of the Skettis bosses, and LOOK like the olive-brown OWLS; but they are CARRION BIRDS. I can finally have an Owl with Screech again! I will be re-taming Valefor, my Hatchling, right after I get Ikult's bat.
