Spirit Beasts - What do you want to see?

A while back Blizzard made it quite apparent that the idea of new spirit beasts in Cataclysm would most likely occur. While many of us have debated the next species...I have a more open curiosity.

What's your ideal Spirit Beast idea for Cataclysm?

With the new designs for Uldum and its surrounding areas two striking spirit beast ideas have been floating around my mind for the last week.

One of which being a very sleek black and gold beast imitation of the Egyptian Cat Goddess Bast/Bastet/Pasht.

Or even one of Anubis, which I think would be equally as cool geared off of the new Mastiff animations.

Just my personal opinion though. And remember, this thread is geared to just exactly that. Your opinion. No rights or wrongs...

I would like to see some sort of a flying creature - owls and wind serpents would make pretty ideal spirit beasts, in my opinion.

I'd like to see a reptilian one next. Crocolisk, Raptor, Serpent, etc. And I'd like for them to veer away from just a translucent beast such as Arcturis and Gondria. More unique skins like Loque would be wonderful, though at the least something like Skoll (pre-existing skin with additions) would be good too.

I couldn't agree more. The translucent spirit beasts generally are quite annoying to me!

its a bit hard tbh used to collect rares and do have a spirit beast in stable but the ultimate one or the one id dream off its really to hard to decide but

a Anubis type dog thing
a unicorn/pegasus thing
a chimera old skin new colour black maybe with blue horns and blue glowing eyes
a raptor orange skin glowing purple markings and eyes
a Serpent black with white markings and maybe crystal blue eyes
a dragonhawk stony skin type or lava like

as i said its really hard to choose any if i could but those are just some of the ideas i have had during my time playing wow

then again lots of things are different in the devs heads from some of the users but we can always hope

EDIT: Never mentioned what I'd like... Bugs. Spiders, or Silithids, or whatever. Just bugs.

I would like to see a new spirit beast with a Lava glowing on there body as it would suit the exp < i always wanted a Rare unquie Purple Wind serpent not some ugly pinky,purplely,white :O

Spiders. A big ghostly tarantula with glowing red eyes. Muah ha ha. Or maybe a wasp. Can you get spirit beetles? Actually that sounds like a disease that resto druids would get.

I agree with Veph and Rhy, I'd love to either see a reptilian or a flying spirit beast next. Nothing translucent, I'm with you all there (though I love my Arcturis! <3).

I would really be jumping for joy if it was a wind serpent (based off the old Azeroth model, not the Outlands spiky model), a raptor, or an owl.

First thing that popped into my mind would be a wind serpent or something similar. I would go for either a new model or a translucent (I honestly don't mind those too much... I think a new model would be best but I don't mind the other way around).

After that, I dunno... Raptor/Dinosaur maybe?

I'd actually love to see some spirit beasts that use untameable beast models. Like a zhevra/horse, hydra, ect.
Also some interesting skin colors and models would be nice like Veph said.

Also, Spider with a mild venomous cloud, Wind Serpent with windy cloud animations and a Gorilla with stone-like texture (or just A-me).
Maybe a skeletal/diseased skin on any beast. Like REALLY skeletal/diseased. Or a Raptor with lots of tribal feathers (or markings. That possibly glow).

I would like to see a Hyena Spirit Beast. Not sure what it would look like, but i'd want something buff/muscely. Like a big bulldog chest. Maybe a buff lava hyena.

Well i'd just be happy with another hyena model. Not a replacement just another one as well.
