Silithid beetles? Eh, I could see that.
And silithid wasps.
And helboars.
And with beetles not only did they make them tamable, after initially lumping them into cunning they listened once again and moved them into tenacity.
Soriid and haarka became tamable once more.
Lots of stuff.
I remember not too long ago these same boards were buzzing with Blizzard <3.

The buzz of having 25 stable slots has worn off and some people are back to being unhappy.
It's not enough that we can tame up to 25 pets.
It's not enough that we have all sorts of new skins available. Hellboars, parrots, seagulls, brainbugs, Silithid wasps, Winna's kitten....
It's not enough that we got new families. Foxes were immediately desired by the playerbase and were almost just as quickly made tameable.
It's not enough that we're not locked into having One Pet.
None of it is Good Enough. Never mind that Blizzard needs to leave some options open for future expansions, since They Didn't Listen...after all, we didn't get everything.
People are entitled to have this opinion, but I personally don't find it very productive.

There's nothing wrong with being slightly disappointed. All the people here have stated over and over that they are mostly thrilled with overall hunter changes, but this was about pets and those being tameable.
Yes, 25 slots is great. I think it's rather nice. No, it doesn't make me backflip for joy when the fact is there's only like...8 pets I'll tame? rofl I mean it's nice but it's not going to make me ignore the fact that Blizzard basically
asked us what kind of pets we'd like to see tameable
AND kinda dangled it in front of us at Blizzcon only to find none of those families actually made it in.
Do I love the fact we got new families? Yes.
But they don't make me ignore the fact that basically the foxes look like Alpha-WoW model wolves and the monkeyes are just over-blown minipet models stretched to proportions that look way off. After seeing a Grovestalker Lynx in TBC and models like Loque'nahak in Wrath and then the crabs of Vash'jir in Cataclysm, I did sort of expect a higher quality of "new pet models" from Blizzard. So yeah, tad disappointed on that.
New skins is great. I love new skins.
Locked into one pet? Yeah it's nice Blizzard did this, but I file this under "positives of the hunter class overall [which I said I find Hunter overall looking great in cataclysm]" because the topic is mostly about taming new skins/new families.
So it's not really kind to just assume everyone is acting like spoiled children and saying 'NO ITS NOT ENOUGH". The users aren't saying 'it's not enough', they're saying 'it's just a tad disappointing that the ideas they wanted us to give, and seemed like they were going to give us went out the window'. I'm still being
quite productive. I'm playing their product. I'm testing their beta; I've written more feedback and bug reports then I can shake a stick at.
So while being a tad disappointed in *one* part of the game, I am still happy and productive in it overall.
