Do crocs swim faster than other pets? I've never really had an amphibian pet before so I dont have anything to compare it too.

Tough choices, for me it will either be my inviso-worm Wiggles, Biohazard my crocoslime or a helboar to replace Grunter as I dont like his new skin (I think the yellow ones are ugly, I like the red and black better)

No, there's no speed difference, but if you're going to spend that much time in water you may as well have a pet that comes with a fantastic swim animation. ^^

I'll prolly end up using my new buddy King Krush, we kinda have a lil fun together as while I tried to tame him outta the 4 attempts he stomped me twice before letting me tame him so I think I'll have him run around with me for abit.

Gotcha :) Thanks for the good idea. Who knows maybe they'll be a pet (like a sea horse) that you can only use under water. Or maybe they'll be a tameable yellow Sponge in the bottom of the sea named SpongeRob Circlepants

I have always wanted a Croc, but I'm usually not really attracted to a pet unless it is a Rare or Unique skinned creature (besides a White Polar bear for some reason).

~Main question, I'll probably use Loque'nahak or my Polar Bear, since he is best at holding aggro when I end up pulling 5-6 mobs at once.

Well, with the lower pet xp requirements to level, probably about 4 of them, but definitely a green silithid wasp, probably a beetle, and whatever looks useful for 5-manning buff-wise.

Yeah, I've been testing the swimmy-ness of some of the pets.

The good swimmers -
wind serpents
crocs
serpents
warpstalkers
worms
nether rays
spore bats
devilsaurs
raptors
crabs
turtles
scorpids
bears, kind of

The bad swimmers -
everything else

Anything that flies with flapping wings is right out, they can't seem to tell the difference between air and drowning. Most of the wolves and all of the hyenas swim like they're walking, and the cats all swim like their head is a balloon. Bears are ok, and I guess that's because druids need to swim too.

Amphibians are the frogs and salamander families; they get the neato ability to metamorphose as they grow, and some of them can breathe through their skin. Also, most of them need a way to keep their skin damp, and a pond in which to lay their eggs.

Reptiles are the snakes, lizards, crocs, and dragon families. They lay eggs in nests, look basically the same as a newborn and as an adult, and breathe air. They also have scaly or pebbly skin, and they can survive in a desert area without drying out like their froggy cousins.

Well for my already 80 Rottingham, I'm of course gunna use Deadbone (Rabid Wolf) and possibly my ozze and hydra (if hydras are still untamable... I'm hoping!)

however, for my new undead hunter I'm going to use a skeletal spider until he's high enough to get a seagull or minkey... then I'll be using that ;)

I'll be sticking with my Spirit Beast, Heero. Despite using the SB skin, Heero has (in my 'lore' for my Hunter) always been my leveling pet for my Hunter since day 1 in Vanilla WoW. That's not changing now =)

As for my new baby Worgen though. She'll probably level up with a fox. Not sure yet really.

You forgot wind serpents!!! They have fantastic swimming animations. :)

Edit: Spiders are entertaining swimmers as well. They don't look quite as graceful, but it's still interesting to look at. :) (No, I'm not biased at all, why do you ask?)

Actually I remember bats do have a different animation for swimming than flying - they still flap, but the angle changes, more backbeat than downbeat - mind you haven't had a bat since level 70 so it may have changed.

Wind serpents have the best swimming animation of them all! 8D Though Warp Stalkers have a good one too. Para and Lokes and Odin will be breaking there.

For Saon itll be Gezz probably. And my others may come out from time to time.

For Sas either gezz or a helboar. Or the blue warpstalker. If the red one was tameable.. id be happy.. but warpstalker for sure i love em ^.6
Atlas (KK) will come out from time to time.

I'll be using my cat to level. While I'm sure there are better options I love my cat. I named him after my cat Callie. Granted I gave him a female name but nobody will know. :D I had to leave my cat at my mom's house when my fiance and I moved so I like having Callie by my side in WoW.
