Greetings fellow pet lovers! I'm here to THANK YOU!

What for?

Well, until yesterday, I had NO idea released pets could be restored. Yesterday, I read someone here on the forums got a pet restored that they had released a long time ago. The GM was kind in helping them out, and I got the impression it was reliant on the generosity of the GM.

Well, back when they were tameable, I tamed Spirit of Koosu (slime- named Goober) and Spirit of Atha (ghost Hydra- named Bubbles) from the Oracles daily quest, they're both in the Crocodile pet family, but they have very unique skins.
I kept the slime on my Troll hunter, but the hydra was troublesome- their animation sound would play double for each animation, and they made loud stampy noises when moving. All in all, I ended up having to choose between one of the two, and I felt the slime was the most unique (and funny!) of the two. Sadly, I let the hydra go.

Fast forward over a year, and here I am reading it could be possible to regain my precious Bubbles! And thanks to you guys, and a very patient GM, Bubbles is snorting and stomping next to me once again!!

I acutally did the opposite, I tamed the slime, and the hydra, but due to stables at the time had to choose between the 2 of them, but reallly wished I'd keep the slime now : (

what sever where you on, Do you remeber the GM's name?

I dont know if i'll be lucky enough to find a GM that kind >.<

Well they normally take a long time to address tickets on my server, and I had to log off by the time I had gotten a responce.... and when I logged in this morning...

More than that - that was probably never meant to be tameable!

gratz oh i love those two pets...i(m still hopeing for a tiny mistake like those three in cataclysm. i just really want to get some nice unique pets now. i love all of my pets but i got some hunter friends...mutters about ghost wolf pleeeaaase bliuzz give me something to annoy him back with

I was extremely nervous they'd say "Heyyyyy this pet wasn't supposed to be tameable in the first place, so NO." However, in the 6yrs I've been playing, I have never once not had a positive experience with a GM (even when they had to deny my request), so from that history of goodwill I was pretty excited.

I was very up front about having the pet restored- I told them out of all the pets I've abandoned, I truly regretted only one since I could no longer get him. I told him (or her, I think it was a her), that the pet was listed as a Crocodile but with a unique skin of ghostly Hydra. She asked what I had named my pet and for the life of me I couldn't remember! That sweetheart sat down and listed every pet I'd abandoned for over a year. When she said "Bubbles?" I knew we'd found him!!

The hunter who got her pet restored is on the Draenor PvE-US server. However, I'm hoping that will change soon; Draenor is not friendly, and I abhor the Battlegroup I have to group with, and I'm going to be moving Ikult to Nesingwary. Watch out Petopia Guildies- I'm coming for you! >:3

The GM's name is Mirdrallos, but I've never gotten the same GM twice.

(No offense to any Draenor or Cyclone Battlegroup people out there!)

Wow Ikult, that's a lovely story. ^^ I've also never had a bad experience with a GM, but I've heard stories of grumpy and rude ones. Still, so happy for you that you could get back such a unique pet!

lol! Insanity sounds like Ikult's cup of mojo. I hope I can get over there relatively soon to get to know some of y'all before Cata hits!

My huntress was lv 70 when they were tameable, and I was working on my druid (i think). I totally missed out.

Even though I adore my slime and hydra, they were originally consolation due to the fact that no shaman or priest would help me tame the Ghost Wolves way back when.

If I could trade one of these guys for a Ghost Wolf, I believe I would.
