I used to have a Loque. I never set out for him, a friend just found him up one day and asked if I wanted him. I was like "Sure, why the hell not?"

He didn't click though. It may be due to the fact that I put zero effort into finding/taming him. >.> So, I let him go. Azzere the Skyblade has since taken his place. She isn't as shiny, but I like her better tbh.

The best of luck to you though. I've found that 12-3am server is a good time interval to check for Northrend rares since it's late enough that Sholazar Basin is pretty clear. Also, be sure to let your guildies/friends know that you're looking for him, and it may even help to spam SB general offering a small reward to anyone who finds him and lets you know.

What's your gameplan been, theperfectdrug?
I've been camping at the north gorilla spot while working on my thesis (with NPCscan to warn me if it spawns). Tabbing back in every 10-20 mins to do a lap of the basin.
4 days and counting :<

haha #1 expect long times of wait before finding anything. im going on my month and 1 week this weekm only found KK once, last week. #2, stay at each gorilla spot, swpaping back and forth very 5 - 10 mins, every half hour doing a full sweep. do what you find works for you though

wow nice! im a herbalist, but honestly if i stopped to pick an herb, there is a verry small % chance that moment that a hunter could be just finding loque right before i would have , and i would have gotten him if i didnt pick the flower.

So, going for a lap, NPC scan goes off (scares me half to death), thinking "omg omg omg this is it!"
look down from my stupor, and it's King Krush. At first I was disappointed, but then thought, perfect time to tame an awesome looking Devilsaur.
Drop a freezing trap and hit tame. He charge-punts me, I see "Immune" float up my MSBT with the trap icon next to it (/sad panda), he then runs up and fears me into a buch of bugs.
I think, oh yeah, maybe I can just tame him outright. get to ~8 seconds left and i'm on ~25% hp, so FD and eat up.
Next try, I think I'm all smart, drop a snake trap, thinking they'll have aggro for long enough for it to finish this time. but turns out the break tame (doh).
So I call out in guild for some backup, couple of guildies come out to help me. As i'm waiting for them to get here, i see a B-elf pally following Krush with me, whisper him to please not kill as i'm going to tame him. "sure, np" he replies - phew
Then, just as guildies arive, dismount, mouse over tame button, and out of nowhere - a Dwarf hunter comes and kills it.........................................
/sigh
Upside? at least it wasnt loque that died i guess :<
