True! But I haven't even seen two hunters with these two pets in particular next to each other! There's a severe lack of fuzzy worms on my server.

Well, I can understand that as I don't like them myself.

It sometimes is so strange as Blizz makes pets tamable and some not, where I'd prefer the one which not tamable.
OK, I don't like the tamable woms at all. But take snakes, for example.
There are two kinds of snakes in the wailing caverns. The strange, cobra-like that can be tamed are, in my opinion, very ugly. The others, which look pretty natural and more snake-like, can't be tamed. Grrrr!

Some beasts are tamed more often. You see plenty of wolves out there as this is the No. 1 DPS-Pet right now. And not many people give a damn about roleplaying and bother to switch pets when not in a raid. I see a lot of devilsaurs, less core hounds and almost no worms. Maybe a worm ain't cool?

I love my Phallius!! he knows how to tank and rock out at the same time, Spikey mowhawk ;D I Love how DnD esque the Jormungar worms are, however the vanilla models im not to crazy bout xD they look umm...yeah

*covers Brochette's ear-holes, nods in agreement about the snakes, then realizes that head-nodding doesn't make a sound and facepalms* Although really, the existing serpents have grown on me, I would looooove to tame the untamables.

Worms are really niche pets, since they're tenacity, but they're not fantastic for soloing. Well, technically, any tenacity pet is good for soloing, but some families come with more useful abilities than others (like turtles or bears). The armor debuff from a worm just isn't going to appeal to people as much on the whole. Devilsaurs and core hounds are still dps pets, each with their own PvE or PvP niches.

Course, that's all from a practical standpoint. Aesthetically, I'd say that having a dinosaur or a big drooly puppy at your side is going to appeal to more people than having a worm of any kind.

Kalliope i agree, worms aren't "pretty/cute" to most ppl but i cant help but give my wormy a hug ^ ^ the Armor debuff of the worms i find very helpful as it not only dmgs and causes threat ( for when he is tanking) but also allows me to increase my own dps, though sadly if there is a warrior and he sunders it negates my Wormy :[.

Also i love how my worm can pull mobs with his range attack and then charge em, makes for a great way to get tons of aggro quickly. Of course this is just my experience so far . Had "Phallius" tank the entire conquest pit quests, hour of the worg and some of the "arm"pit theater quests :p and did not lose aggro to any party member ^ ^.

That exact debuff is why worms are one of the few remaining raid utility pets! Even though warriors are pretty likely to be found in raids, worms CAN fill in for them like that. ^_^

I wonder if it would look right if I were riding my Numeroc like a flying carpet.... I'd really like to put together an animated gif of me and my pets, but Numa's wingspan makes most "walk beside me" animations a clipping nightmare Not to mention, with a name like mine, shouldn't I be FDing or falling?

I don't know... what do you guys think?

Edit: just thought of something.. My pet and I are walking/flying (seperated a bit) towards the camera with a serene background, something scary happens right behind us and we both feign death. Maybe the background changes back, we both get back up and start walking to complete the loop. What do you think?

I need to start playing with wowmodelviewer again. I used to love messing around with that back in tbc, but for a while there it wouldn't work at all on my computer... never figured out why, but a lot of people had the same crashes.

And yes, I understand the whole too big of a file business. I'm kinda stuck with my smaller avatars until I find something that fits the reqs. Thanks though.
