White worm - found

Unread post by Jangalian »

I know someone was asking about where to find white worms come Cataclysm...that's an easy one. They can be found in Duskwood. You go to the Raven Hill Cemetary and kill ghouls until one shows up, but you have to tame it quick otherwise it will die of its own accord.

Thanks :) Ummeiko reported that one in this thread a while back, but it's been buried. It hasn't been updated on Petopia yet.

You really need to be fast. Like tab target and have your finger on the tame button just ready in case it shows up!

And as mentioned in the other thread, THESE WILL NOT BE TAMEABLE UNTIL 4.0.3. :D

Nope. :(

And I had tried on the PTR (as documented in the other thread) to no avail. So definitely 4.0.3.

Well, the ones in Sunken Temple will remain available until 4.0.3, so they'll be in game regardless. :D

Yeah, I know, I know, but I'm just not a fan of that instance. :P

Plus, it was more the innuendo of "I want a worm...". xD

Just a reminder to the hopeful tamers out there - the magic number seems to be 10% haste (generally coupled with a target macro). This is much more easily attained before you hit 81, as ratings tank pretty hard once you start cataclysm content.

As an aside, the dire maul summoned worms are still not beasts.

Nah, repeat posts like this can be useful for info that's become buried and isn't up on the main site yet. :)

I didn't check what haste my pre-made hunter had when I tamed one of the worms, but I can say he had no gems or enchants at all yet, just the haste that was on his tier 10.5 gear. So it's definitely easy at 80. At proper level, probably far less so. ;)

Yes, but now the 'proper' level for taming an exotic is 70, so it probably won't be that far off.

So, summonable mob becomes the replacement for white worms... now if they could only do the same for red beetles... :|

EDIT: posted a thread about this on the suggestions forum. If you'd like to have a red beetle that doesn't change color (and not have to wait until lvl 84 to get it), you can go here and /sign: :)
