Anything with a Beast Label should be tamable! ANYTHING!!!!
Silent as night, silent as death, silent as your last breath

pterrordax, hands down. Make them classified as bats if you need.
I think a stags would make good spirit beasts (a la White Hart of the Wild Hunt/King Arthur legend).
Hawkstriders added to tallstriders.
Hydras as an exotic, they're better looking than chimera anyways.

Re: Beast or Beast types you'd like to see tameable
Thunder lizards are my most-desired beast, especially the green one with red plates. It's so awesome!!! But alas, I don't think it will be tameable, at least not in this expansion. I can still hope for a major patch or future expansion, though!!!
Right behind that is Duskfang, the black mount-model panther that is currently untameable in beta. This is one that really doesn't make sense to me, since it's a cat. I'm hoping there will be another pet pass that flags a lot of currently-untameables as tameable, such as a large portion of the silithid wasps, beetles, etc. I really liked my STV panther, but am not a fan of that model. So having the mount model (which I love) with the panther color (which I also love) would be perfect for me!!! Fingers and toes are crossed!

Also what I'd like to see is a Raptor Spirit Beast and maybe the big mana wyrms in Nexus. X3
Too Big? Devilsaurs and Core hounds would like a word with you.
Lots of people ride Wolves and Cats and those are the most popular pets in the game.
I thought the Fiery Hippogryph mount from the card game would have made an amazing spirit beast

Pft I love it when Erebus fusses with himself or at targets or even pauses while chewing on something to argue amongst himself. It gives him flair, life, personality. Makes him unique compared to how most of my pets either just idle silently, [Loque and Skoll] or show moments of vanity or overly posessive behavior [wasp cleaning itself constantly and Devilsaur roaring almost as much at anything].Twila wrote:Hydras may sound fun, but having the ghost hydra for myself. It can drive you NUTS. The grr hiss sound it makes? It will do it, over and over again, NON STOP, rarly ever shutting up and when it does only for a short few moments... it even will do it when running, and when it runs it does the THOMPTHOMPTHOMP like core hounds only you can hear this a lot further away.
Re: Beast or Beast types you'd like to see tameable
Didn't Blizzard run a poll on the official site asking people what beasts they wanted to be able to tame (excluding the extremely retarded stuff like druids, women, rocks, etc)? Apparently either blizzard completely disregarded the poll or everyone wanted to tame creatures that didn't exist in the game.
Myself: Ungulates (Stags, Zhevras, Talbuks); Mammoths; Elekks; Shoveltusks, Hyppogriffs; Fen Striders

Actually no, like everyone said Hydras and Stags and were then ignored.Ellaran wrote:Didn't Blizzard run a poll on the official site asking people what beasts they wanted to be able to tame (excluding the extremely retarded stuff like druids, women, rocks, etc)? Or mana wyrms - same thing but can go anywhere. I'd love one of those. Those and the arcane wyrms = awesome.Antares wrote:Underwater Electric Eels in Zangarmarsh.

Re: Beast or Beast types you'd like to see tameable
new skins for a lot of beasties would be nice, or a reworking of a lot, on top of anythin else everyone has said. the new crabs look awesome compared to old ones, do the same with tallstriders and make them tameable, and so on, still think we should have thunder lizards and zhevra's
Re: Beast or Beast types you'd like to see tameable
Here's my list of what I'd love to see;
Druid spirit beast;
Make a Cenarion druid angry, freeze it in beast form, TAME. Would randomize from form to form, always count as a spirit beast and use a random color. Or, duel/arena fight a druid, choose the form you want (and race), have druid put auto attack on, and you hit tame as it auto attacks you. Increase cast time for players, so you have to wait it out.
Troggs;
Gorilla pet. I know they're deformed dwarves, but COME ON. COME OOOOOOOOOOOON. They're naked apes.
Tauren and Worgen;
Rhino and Wolf families, respectively. They're animals, nothing more. Never WILL be anything more. One may be intelligent, the other cultured, but we can tame raptors, which Blizz outright states are intelligent and civilized.
Custom ideas;
Red and yellow Ravager with arms similar to its fore legs, no spikes on the back, and many finger-like mandibles. Electric sparks at the arms. Found in Azshara, causing mischief. Kudos to one who gets the reference.
Red Devilsaur with dark brown stripes and no spines. Breathes fire in the wild, found commonly in Hyjal near Ragnaros.
Core Hound that looks like a Zergling. The claws on the shoulders of the Zergling work like the corehound mouths, bouncing to the side when attacking.
Silithid that looks like a beholder. Four C'thun tentacles, no visible mouth, an armored carapace, exposed glowing orange brain in back, and several monstrous eyes and spikes (C'thun possession).
Albino Sporebat with blue underside and eyes. Do it NOW, Blizzard.
A form of pet that resembles a Metroid, Head Crab, and Face Hugger. Three small pets. The first could count as a Nether Ray, the second as a crab, the final as a Shale Spider.
Druid spirit beast;

WoW, where is my KAMEN RIDER BEETLE LARVA PET?
Re: Beast or Beast types you'd like to see tameable
I want elekks so bad. D: If we can have rhinos, we should have Elekks. I'd like to see hydras, stags, basilisks, etc for the people who want them. But I doubt we'll get giraffes.

Re: Beast or Beast types you'd like to see tameable
These are NOT animals. These are humanoids. Raptors may be intelligent but that doesn't make them a humanoid. My dog is intelligent but only to an extent and its the same with the raptors. If you call claws and biting your arm off civilized, then sure.Kikanu wrote:Here's my list of what I'd love to see;

Not attacking or anything but it's just my personal feelings on this, especially because I play a druid(she was my first toon, my first 80) and Druids are close to my heart. It miffs me to no end when people wanna tame a druid because not only do I find it disrespectful, it makes me feel like people want my druid as a slave. Slavery is not cool. I don't mind jokes about it, mind you. My guild teases me all the time and I laugh and play along.
Also in regards, the topic said beasts, not humanoid types. All 4 are humanoids.

So on behalf of my tauren alt- you try casting tame beast on me and you'll find out why Ryai broke one of her horns ;)
Re: Beast or Beast types you'd like to see tameable
But if we could tame humanoids. Who wouldn't want a murloc pet roaring "mrgrlglglglglgll!" into every battle?

Re: Beast or Beast types you'd like to see tameable
My personal preferences are for ...
Hippogryphs: It has always been my dream to have one of these as a pet - I even have a name reserved if ever the time comes when they can be tamed.
Wyverns
Gryphons
Hydras: Ever since I first set eyes on Gesharahan (http://www.wowwiki.com/Gesharahan) and Trigore (http://www.wowwiki.com/Trigore_the_Lasher) I've fallen in love with them!
Mana Wyrms/Arcane Wyrms: especially the ones you can find in Northrend - they're so beautiful.
