Of the whole thing what annoys me is:

If it's a really crappy drop rate, where for some reason people congratulate themselves for being winners when it's just uh no you got lucky with rng moron, the mount should never EVER be threatened.
If it's a 100% drop rate, I see no reason why it can't go poof yet people whine more if they do.

I guess they don't consider some people as horribly unlucky as they are. Rng jsut hates me, Eclispe used to love proccing after the boss died pre patch so think that says enough.


(Also worried about Lurky as they've somehow broke him for new charras ARGH)

They could of made a commonweath games one but seeing as its a USA owned company they would never do something like that becouse they are lame like that. They really should add more holidays based off other countrys ones and not just USA based holidays. Would make us fit in more ya know?

As Saturo said they took more than 'USA/American' holidays. Like 'Day of the Dead' is a mexican/spanish deal [IE feed the dead hope they don't come into your home eating you] and while All Hallows End is a take on Halloween, Halloween isn't really the same as the WoW event.

I mean you do know the ledgend of Ichabod Crane, n the headless horseman, right? That may be a halloween tale now, but it's not 'halloween' tied. Meaning Blizzard didn't have to put the mount in.

I've always missed the only real celebration Sweden is unique about... Midsommar. Where you dance around a pole cowered in plants and stuff and look stupid.

Okay, probably a good thing that isn't implemented.

But Saturo, it was. Only for WoW it's a pole that sets you on fire and spews fire works :p

But yeah. Blizz does more events than USA/America ones. They did most of the major ones most people take part in.

Yes but most of the none huge ones ie xmas get such a small time tied to them. Like teh Day of the Dead that gets what 2 days yet thanks giveing gets what a week? they should of made it week of the dead. I mean they turned a 1 day long holiday into a week long one. They still could of added more in like heck the commonweath games thats a big event they could of did something to that or Guy forks they could of done some crazy fireworks themed event for that and it would of been fun!

I'm with Cow here, it would definitely be fun to see some cultural diversity. I mean, stuff you didn't know about, like Day of the Dead, turns out to be much more fun than stuff like the Thanksgiving thing. And that's another one. Christmas is pretty widespread, so I can agree with giving it all that time to finish. Thanksgiving is in ONE country, yet it gets much more attention than stuff that's far more widespread. Aways confuses me. I hadn't even heard about Thanksgiving until it happened in WoW and I looked it up.

Thanksgiving is actually more than one day tbh- yes it's one meal eaten in one day, sort of thing but that's only when you boil it down and ignore everything else it's supposed to represent- like Christmas not really being about ol Saint Nick n all that.

And comparing Day of the Dead to Pilgrim event is a bit apples and oranges- Pilgrim event gives a title and pet. Day of the Dead was thrown in for fun, like the Pirate Day event was.

And we have almost a single event a month now; and some already overlap one another. Could we really fit in every big and fun event?

Yeah but thing is unfortunately all of the current and major ones are tied to the proto drake achievement, and well I was pissed enough that, not only am I going to have to wait until next year at April, the soonest, if the winterveil events go smoothely, but they took away the mount giving free 310%, or having 310% at all. Having to borrow money for it, ftl. And i also wouldn't want to start all over.


At anyrate it all really just boils down to the players, because it costs money to make the events most likely [IE the people to spend time programming and making mobs and etc] and if the majority won't enjoy them, they will never be made.

They could make it fun in WoW like some people trying to blow up leaders and you ahve to stop them. I mean thats the point of the holiday its about the fact that we stoped them from blowing them up! There could be a boss that drops like a mount maybe a bear with powder kegs on it? that would be cool!

Yeah sorry but I'm not entirely thrilled over the fact there would basically be terrorists getting into the capitals and blowing the faction leaders up. There's also the problem that bif you Failed the leaders would probably be dead for 2 hours or so, given that's how long it takes for them to respawn when ally/horde kills them.

On my server we've had alliance come and ruin Hallow's end at Razorhill. We had them come and try and ruin Brewfest repeatedly. So what do you think they would do for this, were we would need faction leaders alive? Probably come and kill them.

Besides we already have an event like that. It's the Twilight Cultist event coming up. The cultists are wanting to blow up Orgrimmar and TB and idk about Loraedon/Undercity. And it's up to you to stop them.

Eh I think it would be a cool event much cooler than the thanks giveing one they put it. Thats a pretty shit holiday event.

Why? You get free recipies basically, that do count towards the final cooking recipie achievement. You can basically power level cooking to 300+ thanks to said recipies which, without them still require some grueling farming. You get a free title. You get free buff food. You get outfits, you get a title and a mini pet, and most importantly you can shoot people and turn them into turkeys.

Eh i found it forced and did not fit into WoW for me ya know? IMO i'd rather blow stuff up. Fireworks FTW. Shooting people into turkeys was fun for like a little bit then it became boreing.
