This is last time im Asking about Aotona!

Ok im starting loose my god damn mind... it won,t spawn.... also what is the real Spawn timer atleast for Aotona?

I would like know where it spawns the most.. so i could double check more often!

Also i would like every1 to post where they tamed and time please so i could work out how this really works!

Do they share timers with the other 2 Rare beast at all ?

Be honest please thanks.

Aotona has 5 spawn points. Both times I tamed her, she was at the spot kind of near the monkeys. Get _NPCscan and _NPCscan overlay and it will not only alert you, but color her spawn points (in blue) on your map. They're pretty close together so you can do very quick laps of them.

Aotona does not share spawn timers with the other two rares in Sholazar. I'm not sure what her spawn timer is; I personally spent 3 or so hours camping the first time and maybe 4 hours (I think?) camping the second time. I found her dead once as well while looking for Loque. She doesn't seem very well sought after on my realm though, so I don't know what you can expect as far as the time you'll have to put in.

I would recommend setting aside big chunks of time late at night or early in the morning for her. Get coffee, snacks, and maybe some music to keep you entertained. Patience and dedication are key

Most if not all the rare spawns in Sholazar have the same length in spawn times though they dont share it. Most common is 6 - 8 hours but it can sometimes go for 16+ hours.

First i dont drink coffee but sounds like a good plan i can drink ice coffee i hate hot

Also i got the Npc scans etc i flew around the area all over it dosen,t seem want to spawn i seen it once tryed tame it but wouldn,t let me it was bugged and vanished off somehow... but anyways im still searching hopefully it spawn and i show screenshots soon:D

Still no spawn all day had all my friends on each spot for 24hours no spawn at all.. like what is going on...?

Aotona has been known to.......wander on my server. I don't know if it's all servers, but she has been found multiple times in areas she doesn't belong. For instance, i personally have killed her at the top of the rainspeaker canopy, right under the projected area that King Krush spawns using NPCScan overlay.

Whether she has a hidden spawn point or she simply wanders off requires endless hours of camping and is not something I personally would do.

Also, I have personally come across all 3 rares (2 alive 1 dead) within 10 mins of the first rare seen. So they do not share timers.

Also, if she is skinnable (im not sure) she may have spawned and been tamed or spawned and killed and skinned within minutes, even seconds.

It's good to ask in general chat frequently if anyone knows when she has been tamed/killed last. you may get some trolls, but there will occasionally be someone who will fess up to killing her and have proof.

Well, first of all, there's a little thing called patience. Might wanna try having some next time you look.

Second, Aotona MIGHT, for the most part share a spawn timer with the other two rares, which don't spawn in the same place of course. If one is up, and stays up, then chances are that Aotona won't have a chance to spawn until a few hours after the current rare is killed/tamed/etc.

I do have patient been there 7days... not even seen it more then once! and i got another hunter dosen,t friggin sleep... she only stands in 1 spot for some reason i search the other spots all times every 2minutes also i dont know how she stay up 4 days without sleep she crazy! But atleast i get some sleep

She is one, if not THE, rarest spawns in the game. It doesn't help that she's part of the Northrend Achievement. Finding her is tough, fidning her alive is almost impossible. I have never seen another hunter on my realm with her. I get questions from hunters and non hunters alike that have never laid eyes on her before. I know it gets annoying camoing rares, you should see my posts on this forum about Skoll, but your best bet is to take some time off from camping and out the word out in your guild. I ended up just doing a fly over when i logged in and before I logged out. I posted on ym guild's forum that I was looking for her. It was actually a guildie of mine that let me know she spawned while he was farming. I know none of this helps, but we've all been ther with rare spawns and can feel your pain.

Wildstormz, www.wowhead.com is your best bet for finding spawn locations. It has pretty comprehensive information on all mobs and items in the game, and if you search Aotona you'll see her locations marked on a map.

I mean really.

Spawn timers can and do vary from server to server it seems and she's been known to have a 6-16 hour spawn timer but most around the 6-10 hours. She's one of the most sought after and so is very easily killed or tamed.

No offense but why post yet another thread when you were answered the first time????

Well Ive seen Aotona quite a few times. She has around.. 6 different spawn points and she does wander a bit from her spawn point. She kind of flies back and forth for quite sometime. And in the wildgrowth mangel she spawns in two different places, atleast two it may be three.
It took me a week to find her on Sas, Saon got lucky and Inny is still looking.

Aotona pretty much sticks out like a sore thumb.. and flies around in pretty public places so she is alot harder to find. Ive seen Loque more then ive seen her.. I think King Krush is the only one who is being more stubborn then she is...

Keep at it but dont forget to take some breaks and go and do something else to get your mind off of her. Your best bet is early morning.. around 2-5 am when noone is around.

so now you have 2 threads on the same topic wildstormz? I have to agree with zed on here, please keep it to one thread perhaps. Making multiple threads will not make Aotona spawn faster for you I'm afraid.
Also the spawn points for Aotona are simply shown on wowhead or even on NPCSCAN-Overlay addon.

I would offer more advice, but I think I offered some already on the other thread where you posted about wanting help for Aotona.

I found Aotona on my hunter just after they added her to the game but it took me well over a week of camping the Basin picking weeds before I found her. I feel your pain and frustration thought. It took me forever to find Loq (just finally got him recently) so keep at it. Another addon you might want to download is http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/i ... ragon.html

The areas pictured on NPCscan overlay aren't always totally accurate, which is why some people don't like using it.
