so im starting to hate this patch :( i miss you guys

ok so i started the download for the patch on tuesday.... i have had it going all day and all night never turned off.... its only at 53% and it is moving sooooo slow... i mean it takes for ever to even do anything i been at 2.52 mb for over an hour.... this is really pissing me off so much i want to play what did i pay for i wish maybe blizz did patches in chunks of something because these big patchs just piss me off ause it takes what almost a damn week for it to download and that is hopeing.... *facesmash* this is not helping my mood, i had to take my car in to get the axels in the front replaced cause they were ready to break.... and still cant get on i thought ok maybe a day or 2 to download... but almost a week give me a freakin break

Aww. I wish I could help, but I've skipped over all those "I can't download the &%(@^$# patch" posts on various forums. I know it's been an issue for a lot of folks so... perhaps look around? There might be a solution for your problem written down somewhere.

That's strange, the game should be doing the downloading in the background for the week or so before the launch. I think it was an option in the old launcher, though this new launcher doesn't seem to have the option to turn it off and on. Must be on all the time, because I'm uploading it to people even now.

You could try turning off the P2P part of the download and see if that helps. It should be on the launcher, on the new launcher its in Options -> Downloader Preferences -> Disable P2P. Then it shifts to downloading straight from Blizzard. You can check the status of the download by going to Info -> Connection Info.

hm i turned the p2p off but it dosnt even seem like it is helping... this just sucks so bad

I am right there with you so I know the pain that you are in!

I've been downloading since Wed. morning and am now at this very moment on 95% completion (so close!). I've tried disabling Peer-to-Peer, shutting down and restarting my computer, disabling my firewall and background tasks and none of these have had any effect on speeding up the patch download.

Have you perhaps looked for a mirror site to download the patch from, instead of using the downloader in the launcher? I've found that that can be faster sometimes, and might help you out.

yeah i have tried turning off p2p, throttle, restarting, closing all programs, nothing >.< i keep forgetting about vent lol i would try the mirror sites but i dotn want to start all over im at 62% right now xD

I really, really do hate this patch...at my Dad's house it's taken 32 hours to download...that is ridiculously insane.

It took me a day and a half to download, I feel your pain. Patches take a long time, but most of the time it's well worth it. C:

before the patchs only took about a day or 2.... but its gonna be a week come tuesday...... that is a bit much

This may be a long shot but what anti virus program are you using?? I use kaspersky and on new patches or full game downloads it causes the download to run really slow if at all. Maybe that's it??

Do you have a upload /download limit through your isp?

Download for me went like this:

Initial 5Gb D/l was nearly done from background pre-loading. Took about 1 hour to top it off.

Installation of that patch (a grey box with a progress bar) - several hours (yes, really)
After that, the new loader started and it took another 2 hours to d/l or install or whatever it does to completion. Note that in the final phase ("new loader") you can actually play before it's finished, with a reduced quality of game (becase it's still d/ling and installing bits!)

Basically, I started the dowload at about 6.30 PM when I got home from work, it finished the first big DL by 7.30, and had started the grey-box-progress-bar install bit. I then went to my Karate class.

I got home at 10:00 to find it still doing the grey box bit. Shower and dinner -> now on the blizzard "new loader" part.

Spent the evening with my GF, and getting ready for bed I waited for the last ~50Mb to tick over - finished around 00:15.

That makes it a 6-hour process when you already have most of the initial download.

yeah i only have 1g internet xD so it took almost a week for EVERYTHING but i am finally able to get on now and go figure i have no college today and there is maitnence XP
